For some reason you keep forgetting that your opinion on whether something is good isn't the last word by miles. If you don't trust dozens of people who do it for a living, why do you expect me to agree with a bedroom listener?

I don't trust anyone's opinion but my own. But at least they can verbalise why something is bad. If they just came out with "that's shit derp", I think they'd be out of a job quite quickly.

The problem is, Brimz, music has to move forward or it gets stale. Could you imagine any modern artist getting away with being this basic? I'm not saying this isn't good or anything, stuff just has to change. You've obviously just forgotten all of the shit that came out 27 years ago, it wasn't all good by any stretch of the imagination. I wasn't trying to claim the guy could trump any of the old masters...

For some reason you keep forgetting that I am not a music critic & am simply stating my (reasonably well informed, as far as I'm concerned) opinion, which I have never claimed to be "the last word".

The music critic thing is a load of shite anyway. I would trust a recommendation from someone like Brimz on some decent new hip hop whereas I wouldn't believe a fucking word I read from any music critic.
