The Benzodiazepine Thread v. IV

I Think etizolam is fucking awesome, definitely
the most euphoric benzo i've had, the second most
euphoric would be temazepam. My question is : what
is it like when you inject benzos? What is the rush like?

Is there any euphoria? What are the effects? And do you IM
or IV?

thanx

Just eat them d00d...

There are many reasons not to inject benzodiazepines. For one, they seem to work better orally. Other than triazolam and midazolam, most benzodiazepines have at least 80% oral BA. Flurazepam is the one closest to 80%, and even then, I would personally prefer taking flurazepam orally over IV. Most benzodiazepines are going to last longer when taken orally. For the most part, they don't take too long to kick in either.

I had to go to a councellor once, it took a while before my doc started writing repeats for valium probably because i always used to run out early, (I look like i need valium though I come off as an anxious person) but I got it under control lately hence the repeats, but I had to ask him for the repeats.

No the councellor didnt help but I only went once it just made me way too anxious, she gave me a relaxation cd, but didnt really help. I like to have a nice bath at the end of the day for 15mins or longer whatever floats ya boat, its very relaxing, and breathing exercises help too, slowly breath in through the nose as much as you can but dont force yourself to breath in alot if you get what i mean, then wait 8 seconds, slowly exhale through your mouth, wait 4 seconds rinse and repeat. You will find you can inhale more after a couple times. that helps me alot.

Im done with Valium now, it just doesnt help with my social anxiety so Im going to try come off it, (as requested by my new psych who prescribing me stimulants for ADD) as theres no point being addicted to benzos if they arnt helping (that is just me though). I also dont drink anymore caffeine as requested because my BP is up and that causes anxiety, I used to drink a 500mL energy drink about 160mg caffeine or 180mg plus a couple coffees every day.

But i know for a FACT that benzodiazepines
are injectibale because they fucking inject
them into people iv or im at hospitals all the time.

Maybe if your having a seizure then it might make sense, there is no rush with benzos if your so keen on pumping shit through your veins get some oxys or heroin.

Check this out.

indeed. whaats the point of IV'ing something when putting it under the tongue works jusst as good or even better???

WIthout all the trouble of making the shot up then finding the vein, registerrrin' the vein then shoot.

There IS a rush with injected benzos. I was very ill once (muscle spasms), and got injected 10mg liquid diazepam by a doctor, and OMG, instant happiness and relaxation. So YMMV...

I'm not sure about that. I've detoxed off both and an opiate detox was worse for my. Don't get my wrong, benzos detox was bad, but the depths of hell from me was definitely opiate detox

was it a rush???

or was it pain relief cuz your intense musle spams/pains were gone??? and that instant relief of pain felt like a rush???

^ I agree it might have been instant relief of pain, but it felt like a rush for me as it was really instantaneous...

Some benzodiazepines are readily water soluble, such as midazolam. I once had ampules of that, was nice.

Others aren't so readily water soluble, in which case the solution used at the hospital is some sort of non-polar solvent I believe. Not sure on what they use, it's on the tip of my tongue though...

In case you didn't already know, years ago temazepam here used to come in gel capsules which people used to use for injection, commonly mixed with heroin and it led to a lot of doctor shopping and overdoses. It was in the media, and eventually they got rid of that formulation.

went to my bizarre doctor today who lectured me about how he has to stop prescribing me valium soon, then as i leave he hands me the script and says 'enjoy", fuckin strange guy

he says he is only going to be able to prescribe it short term but its been 3 moinths now he has been giving them to me without me even asking for them, he keeps saying i might become addicted to them, i would say i already am, based on all this i have concluded i should use this script to taper off them as i fear he will just cut my supply, i figure by now my body has developed a dependency

^heh, I went back and told him I'm up for counceling, but mentioned I still need something to get me through till I speak to someone, anyways I walked out with another script of diazepam.

Well when I found out I couldent see the counceler till may, I thought fuck it.

I do believe I need them right now, juggling a lot of crap and work is full on at the moment.

Beat Narrative: you shouldn't have to use that script to taper down, if you have been on them three months it is your doctor's responsibility to discuss and implement a proper tapering plan and if he is a half-way adequate doctor he will know this.

interested in the cross tolerance between different benzos, like if you mainly use one and develop a tolerance to that one in particular would you still have tolerance to the new benzo .e.g. xanax and then vallium

^I'm interested in this, too.

I've been alternating between diazepam, clonazepam, and etizolam, just to try and keep them all as fresh as possible. Not sure how much this really works, but as they do have slightly different effects I definitely notice more when I alternate. Taking valium a few days in a row makes it just feel like one foggy mindset without any particular features.

Clonazepam is my favourite, but is not nice to stop taking - even after only a few days of 2-4mg a day when I stop I feel crappy for days afterwards.
