the rodarte sisters often use this photographer named autumn de wilde.

she's also showing up a lot on Rookie -- she did the photoshoot for the Rodarte sisters there. I don't really like her style which sadly informs my feelings about Rodarte. that shirt you posted a few pages back looks great. I have simple enough printing set up here and a blank shirt to make that design. I think I might!

^it's a goodie! denser than any other thread i can think of; even after this longass post there are still things i want to catch up on and reply to later.

those (wonderful) photos of kirsten are everywhere. in high quality. the name of the shoot, the stylist, the photographer--all that is out. but i cannot find anything about what she is wearing. or any actual scans from the magazine. it must be on shelves? hopefully what designers were worn will soon become easy-find information. anyway, it's an awesome shoot. i particularly like the one of her in the green dress and the one in the blue dress. how the inside folds of the pleats are left un-patterned is very cute. so are the flower-ed heels and the collar-less coat. not my favorite of the photos, but long dress with blue and green flowers is simple, clean, pretty. the bathing suit is ridiculous, but the textured floral design is awesome for what it is and what it is for. almost everything she is wearing is nice. and she looks just as enchanting as enchanted. she usually does.

well since i get my pot for free, it certainly is NOT worth 50 dollars. i actually went digging through some type face whore blogs and have figured out that they are using a custom font, so I couldn't fuck around and just rebuild the logo in photoshop. i kind of don't care in so far that I like fake looking shit, like the tumblr meme of Chanel ads:

it would be easy enough to just press a black heart over the rodarte text, as long as i could find a big enough version of the text.

weird! i have no idea who that is, and this is the first time i'm seeing the original, i had only ever seen the "chanel ad", and this creepy fucking tumblr i followed called menophilia, which disappeared after awhile, which i suspect because it was posting so much questionable content (girls of a certain non age?) and just all around gross stuff. that photo was her(? his?) icon.

buying the rodarte shirt doesn't make you stupid. there are a few shirts that i'm forcing myself to hold off buying, even though i want them more than anything, because they are 50$+. I'll cave soon enough. How long can you really live without something before you buy it/make it/steal it?

i own very, very, few designer pieces, and i think my prized one is a helmut lang denim jacket. so, i paid special extra special attention to the show this season, incase i ever work up the courage to buy another (overly) expensive piece.
