Your Job and Your Drugs

why merged, dude? you realize I have certain people who I talk to and shit? I wanted ONLY OPIATE people; not EVERYONE! I also wanted my own peeps in it. I dont get this site and how it merges EVERYTHING together; dude, sometimes topics are better left alone.

Following your logic, are you suggesting that we should have tweaker jobs, stoner jobs, alcoholic jobs, etc threads as well? What about seperate threads discussing what field of study stoners, opiate users, etc go into? Your answer will probably be no anyway because theyre not "your peeps."

tl;dr - The topic already exists which is why I merged.

Regardless of that, the job/drug topic is one that spans over all DOCs and not just opiates. If you have a problem with my decision to merge your thread, then feel free to PM senior moderators: NeighborhoodThreat or Tommyboy.
 
I truly find it hilarious I am on a board w/ a bunch of other drug addictions/junkies/problems/addictions, etc. but yet there are so many fucking rules and ways to play this game. think about it, peeps!? think. you are buying and using drugs, and that is OK. but me making a thread to only a certain crowd (opiate users) is NOT OK! ha.

lets run both ideas by a cop and see what he thinks.

every thread I make gets merged. hate that shit, man. this is not just me asking what you do for work, but even specifics and to specific people (opiates).

do whatever, I dont care at this point but this site needs to chill w/ all the MODERATING. we are fucking DRUG ADDICTS here; but we moderation the SHIT out of one another. it reminds me being in in-house treatment centers, or halfway house, and someone steps up to be the "go-to" of the house or room youre in, and then he's all of a sudden a boss and not the same junkie he was/is 4 weeks ago.

^Drug Culture without rules would be Other Drugs II. And no one wants that. NO ONE. Not even you, Mr. Brownson.
This "argument" reminds me of the Little Caesars commercial where the guy screams that "There's no rules!" and then takes his shirt off. Then someone behind the counter tells him to put his shirt back on....
 
I can relate with BBT.
Just the other day I witnessed a mod close a thread because he apparently thought a member was trying to get a connect or source.
I figured the mod didn't read what the member wrote, because, she clearly stated "I'm not looking for a connect or hookup, I just want to relate with somebody who's in the same position I'm in"
Next thing you know.. Closed thread. Why? "For trying to get a connect/sourcing"

I PM'd the mod about it, and have yet to see a response from him.

BBT is right. BL is way too heavily modded.
 
And since the 'edit' and 'save' button doesn't seem to quite yet work - Here's some more 2 cents.

BBT made a thread specifically for opiate users. & Since opiate users live a very different lifestyle than say an alcoholic or pothead, I cannot see the reasoning Seyer used as justifiable for merging threads.
 
^^ exactly, man. if you read this thread you have people saying they use "after work" or on "weekends only". well, I am looking for JUNKIES and OPIATE ADDICTS and see what THEY do for work; not just anyone who EVER did ANY KIND of drug in the universe. you MODS need to pay some attention to what is happening; unless you're on drugs, too.. then it's cool, ha.

but the idea is to see what HEROIN/OPIATE/SHOOTERS do during work hours; how the day is planned since we NEED our drug ASAP and rather than a day revolving around a family, work, friends, etc, it revolves around a drug. so I wonder how these guys/gals got by since I was able to somehow get by for so long before truly falling off at the end. I was calling out of work always toward the end, just ODing left and right. barely leaving the house aside to pick up. a person who once "dressed" up for work is now showing up in jeans and a sweatshirt saying I had to "sleep at a hotel cuz my GF and I fought". imagine? we had to wear khakis/button downs and I came in like that cuz I was so strung out I didnt give a fuck anymore and I'd just lie and they would let it go. eventually they've come to the realization that I was junked out and needed help; I told them I needed a month of "medical" time. and I got it off and went into a detox, which lead to an OD, then to a Psych Ward and out patient program which was 3 days a week, so still no work for close to a month and a half. but at least I got clean during that time.

so, do you see the difference here? would a pot head tell that story? would someone who does coke once every other weekend tell that story? can they relate? probably not. so, YES, I just wanted it to be my OWN thread my ONLY my dope fiend peeps on here (or ex dope peeps).
 
websites cost money to run, and moderators are volunteers. not every person in the world is our best friend.

it makes sense to keep all related posts together in a single thread for the ease of location keeping costs down. it may seem punctilious. it's pragmatic at the same time.

instead of having 5 or 10 different threads about ____ drug users and their workplace experiences, it's much easier to have just one. there is no need to get upset because the thread was already here.

if you want to read replies from only opiate users, skip over posts from non-opiate users. this is the simplest solution to the problem, rather than protesting about how heavily moderated the forum is.

we should be thankful that this forum allows what it does to begin with. just my .02c
 
the location of the thread will keep cost down? was that really said? taking up that much room on the server puts THAT much more money in their pocket.

when you guys have been on this forum more than a year, you will learn that it operates with as few threads as possible. not that hard to understand. having fewer threads makes it a lot easier to find information you are looking for. i mentioned cost but it's not all about that.

if you disagree with my perspective, i don't mind. just trying to expose how this forum operates. no one asked us to be happy with it.

this is all off topic and these posts stand a good chance of deletion, because you know, gotta save that fraction of a cent bro.

How is BK an epic fail? Better than not working. An epic fail would be if you got fired from BK because you didn't understand how to work the register (ha, becoming so Americanized *till). Or you consistently got people's orders wrong.

Yes, I'm sure you have the potential to do better...or at least - like us all - we're entitled to have that opinion. The grass is always greener. I work in retail. It fucking sucks most of the time. Some of my colleagues and even my superiors are complete morons. It's not where I want to be, but it can be rewarding at times. I've met some cool people too, got extremely cheap clothes and I'm less depressed than I am when I'm sat at home. It's not an epic fail. We're all too heavily influenced by the media and all this bullshit that we're going to float through life like it's a cartoon, have a montage, and end up a rockstar or whatever takes our fancy. Unfortunately I - and probably you - chose not to work our fingers to the bone to get to a higher level. Despite that, even if I were in a higher-paying, more prestigious job, it doesn't guarantee I'd enjoy my life all that lot more.

Who knows?

So, only read the posts that are from people that use opiates/opioids or that are your "peeps" and just ignore/pass over the other ones...

Most things are done for a reason here whether you can see or understand it and if there were no rules then it would be just another bullshit website..I dont understand what the big deal is..if you want it to be just for you and your peeps then make a blog, they can go there and respond...or if it is just that intolerable for you then why stay here? Not to be rude, but the rules or procedures shouldnt have to change just because you want your own personal thread...just sounds so silly.
