Astrology is a language. If you understand this language, the sky speaks to you. ~Dane Rudhyar

The puzzling thing is that there is really a curious coincidence between astrological and psychological facts, so that one can isolate time from the characteristics of an individual, and also, one can deduce characteristics from a certain time.... ~Carl Jung

When I do good, I feel good. When I do bad, I feel bad. That's my religion. ~Abraham Lincoln

Very nice quotes; thanks Ocean. I really like the last one a lot it's ringing home for me right now very much.

"We were born to kill one another, how you chose to do so is up to the person, however."

"We all love being pushed. It's a fact of life."

"Rich men died and tried, but none of it worked
They just rob your grave, I'd rather be alive and paid"

"Few people understand the psychology of dealing with a highway traffic cop. A normal speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side. This is wrong. It arouses contempt in the cop heart. Make the bastard chase you. He will follow. But he won't know what to make of your blinker signal that says you are about to turn right. This is to let him know you're pulling off for a proper place to talk. It will take him a moment to realize that he's about to make a 180 degree turn at speed, but you will be ready for it. Brace for the g's, and fast heel-toe work.

Not sure If I got this from here, but I've remembered it since I've heard it.

"Don't trade your future for some shit in the past"

"Man is condemned to be free; because once thrown into the world, he is responsible for everything he does. It is up to you to give life a meaning."

"Yours problems are what you make them -- big, small -- my fault or yours alone -- endless or just beginning -- the first step may be admittance but after that doing something about it & keeping the positive change is even harder." ~Moi

Sorry if this was just posted but I like it a lot and wish to share it again...

"Everyone hears only what he understands." ~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

"A person will not change until the pain of remaining the same becomes greater than the pain of change." I saw that on the bulletin board at a Salvation Army, during my last bout of homelessness.

^ I undoubtedly concur! In all actuality, that was the exact state of mind that inspired me to quit meth, quit heroin, and cut down on pills. Once I became fully aware that the internal and external pain of the status quo greatly surpassed the pain of not knowing what the future may hold, positive changes started occurring. That same state of mind is what is keeping me opiate free today!

Also, I can relate to that story a lot. There have been many things I have seen, heard, and experienced right at the brink of a very pivotal point in my life. Looking back now, the irony and importance of such statements during such times is not only astounding, but just magnificent. Thank you for including that experience along with the quotation—I really enjoyed hearing it!

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe; attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion; I've watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate.
All those moments will be lost in time; like tears in rain.
Time to die."
- Roy

"Wake up..... time to die."
- Leon

"There's making a living, and then there's dying..... and dying ain't much of a living."
- Josey Wales

"He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster.
And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you."

"Es ist immer etwas Wahnsinn in der Liebe.
Es ist aber immer auch etwas Vernunft im Wahnsinn."
There is always some madness in love.
But there is also always some reason in madness.

"Und wer von uns Dichtern hättenicht seinen Wein verfälscht? Manch giftiger Mischmasch geschah in unsern Kellern, manches Unbeschreibliche ward da getan."
And who among us poets has not adulterated his wine? Many a poisonous hodgepodge has been contrived in our cellars; much that is indescribable was accomplished there.

- Nietzsche

"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself."
-- Friedrich Nietzsche

"why does the mind hold on to a particular memory, a particular experience, a particular belief, when it has lost all meaning? Either, he is incapable of seeing the facts, or he likes to live in an illusion, in a make-believe. Which has nothing whatsoever to do, with factuality. "
-- Jiddu Krishnamurti

"In life, 80% of success is just showing up." - Woody Allen

"Somewhere in the starting years of your childhood, before you had learned to submit, to absorb the terror of unreason and to doubt the value of your mind, you had known a radiant state of existence, you had known the independence of a rational consciousness facing an open universe. That is the paradise which you have lost, which you seek – which is yours for the taking." - Ayn Rand
