Your favorite band seen live.

My favorite bands i've seen live are 1. NIN (seen them 6times, blew me away eachtime) 2.TOOL( seen 4times, best performance was 2002,Melb,Aust) 3. Metallica (seen 4times, fave show was Death Magnetic tour, Melb,Aust 2010) & i've got to mention The Living End. awsone live aussie band & Tetrameth ( a mind blowing Psy-trance artist from Melb,Aust)

Warren Haynes Band during this last Man in Motion tour was pretty awesome. The level of musicianship was top notch.
 
The Black Keys are just jaw-dropping live. I couldn't believe how good they were.

The Foo Fighters are also pretty good. I saw them a few years ago, not expecting much, and was blown away. Dave Grohl is a helluva frontman.

Back last November I saw Romany Rye and Delta Spirit, a small indie show at a local bar. I didn't really wanna go initially, but the friend who wanted to see them had a bunch of acid, so of course I went. Turned out to be fucking amazing. The Romany Rye, with all of their soaring three part harmonies, almost brought me to tears. It was like a religious experience. Then Delta Spirit came on and put on one of the most high energy performances I've ever seen. The best part was when they played a rendition of "Shout!" for their encore that would make Otis Day blush. Best concert ever. It might have just been the acid, though. ;)

Aw man, I'd kill (not really :|) to see TOOL in concert. It's no doubt on my to-do list. On that note, APC would be highly enjoyable as well - naturally.

psycosynthesis - Seeing The Mars Volta thrice (yes, thrice!) is HIGHLY enviable. I can't imagine how mind blowing that'd be.

I'd also love to see SOAD. That music makes my hair stand up.

For me? So far: Deftones (seen them over 4 times...'ish) were great.
Staind was nice (shut up, I know they are 'whiny' a lot, but at the time that I saw them in concert... my younger days: middle school/high school), and I saw them about 5 times. I was SUPER close and was with my sister. LOVED it (every time).

Incubus puts on a good show.
I'm going to see Bon Iver next month. That'll be great (understatement).

I haven't seen too, too many bands live. I've seen Death Cab for Cutie, but they're not all that interesting to watch. The Decemberists are fun to watch live, but it's not something I would describe as a mind-blowing experience.

I would have to say that the three best bands I've seen live are:

NIN (I'm not a huge fan, but a friend of mine had an extra ticket and I thought "why not?" I left the show thinking, "holy shit that was awesome!")

The Mars Volta (I've seen them three or four times before and they're great. They're fucking fantastic. It's an indescribable feeling being at one of their shows. It's almost a religious experience, really. lol)

And believe it or not... Modest Mouse. (I know, I know, I get made fun of by my more snooty friends for this, but I saw them live once and the performance was actually really, really good.)

To be fair i've seen many great muscians n bands but this was just Breathtaking it's on you tube as well so i can re live it when i'm feelin down=D

i've seen moe. over thirty times and they just do it for me.i guess i'm just a sucker for dueling guitar, crazy xylophone and ROB.

i've only seen sci twice, during hulaween 2010. it felt like magic.

other amazing bands i can't get enough of live:
lotus
yonder mountain string band
the disco biscuits (shut up haters)
also anything remotely related to marco benevento.

also i was totally bowled over both times i've seen beats antique. such a great dance party.

iron and wine is so incredible. (sam's tied with joanna newsom for my most fave indie music) trapeze swinger encore at radio city this year made me just cry and cry it was so freaking beautiful.

The best gig I ever went to was Iron Maiden with WASP supporting in Germany 1986.Also saw Guns N Roses in the 90's who were also brilliant.

Disco buscuits are good live...i agree..and there are alot of haters and SCI is also a super fun show..but some people be hatin on the hippie music i know! they need to give it a shot..

good point i was pretty sober; but basically id rather be at a show with a ton of energy..it was actually beautifully produced...the lights, and the images with the live music but i guess it float my boat-now neutral milk hotel is a different story
