Your favorite band seen live.

The Flaming Lips. Easily. Part of it is the massive amount of production that they put into their shows, and all the props they use, and the costumed dancers, and the visual presentation of it all, and the confetti cannons, etc., etc., etc. But part of it is just that Wayne Coyne has the most sincerely good-natured, generous, good-willed stage presence I've ever seen in a performer. He genuinely wants everyone at his show to make friends with each other. It's amazing.

Or maybe it's just that I was rolling really hard when I saw them. Either way, best show I've ever been to.

Back in '08 i was able to do their halloween parade all decked out with the skeleton costume and yeah. You can't even begin to convey the atmosphere to someone who didn't take part, it's just fucking incredible.

Explosions In The Sky

I was on a gram of dxm, and I ate 3 weed brownies. The concert was held in a opera room (so great acoustics). We sat on the upper deck with perfect view and sound. It was simply brilliant.

this dude only ate one bottle of robogels =p lol

everything else is true though.

he had a much better time than me, i had been up all night the night before and took 20mg of adderall to help me drive/stay awake.

They aren't my favorite band by far but god damn when I saw judas priest in 2004 (I think?) they put on the most ridiculous show! Rob Halford came on stage on this huge bike as they played hell bent for leather lmao it was sick!

Manson's show was so much better than I expected.

Manson live is fucking sick. It's only too bad that ozzfest blows cock now.

Most recently my faves were Crue Fest 1 in 2008 and Rob Zombie in January of this year.

I get to see Rob again at the Rockstar Mayhem fest this year

I'm going to mayhem in dallas and I can't wait to see rob zombie :)

I saw Iron Maiden in 2008, they were awesome. I was really high so the whole show is kind of a blur though. I've seen GWAR 3 times, Sounds of the Underground 2007 was the best one. Rancid was a blast, so was Ozzy Osborne. Indoor concerts can get really hot, I love bands that bathe you in fake semen to cool you down.

mike watt and the black gang crew, saw them in holland pert near round april 96
punk rock saved my life
i stopped raving and clubbing almost every day after that show
and got back into making my own songs, writing my own stories and fucking shit up

I've been to a shitload of shows (nearly all in the realm of extreme metal), but I'd have to say the one show that really tops it all has had to be...

GORGUTS + PORTAL + KRALLICE + BLOODY PANDA

Mostly, FUCKING GORGUTS

To think that all that dysrythmic, fucked sounding chaos is actually a fine display of musical genius. Oh, and that show was the first time I ever tried Amanita Muscaria, coupled with some fine herb.

Iron Maiden - The 'BEST' live band i've ever seen! - Phenomenal.
In Flames
Nine Inch Nails

i shoulda mentioned iron maiden. they played with rob zombie and mastodon. i played with oxycontin. felt great.

also, i wish i could remember the first time i saw alkaline trio, but it was also the first time i dropped acid, herp derp!

I'd have to say Phish, such an intense experience, especially on some incredible LSD. I only wish I had been alive and grown to see The Grateful Dead play back when Jerry was around. I was in the womb at one of their last shows before he passed. Pretty good first show, ey?
