Your favorite band seen live.

Most recently my faves were Crue Fest 1 in 2008 and Rob Zombie in January of this year.

I get to see Rob again at the Rockstar Mayhem fest this year and OZZFEST is coming to my state with Crue and Black Label Society plus a bunch of others (Hatebreed is great too) I'm excited, a rock show is natural high and I go to as many as I can.

Edit: Godsmack is great live too, seen them a few times

I dunno, that's a tough one. But there are a handful that have stood out over the years. Garbage way back in 1997, Le Tigre 2000, The Gossip 2001, Pretty Girls Make Graves around 2002, and The Kills supporting either Sleater-Kinney or Le Tigre around 2003. Can't remember, but they were fookin' awesome. :D

Best shows I've seen:

The Mars Volta (3 times)
RATM
The Chemical Brothers

Oh I really enjoyed the Mars Volta. Saw them do a festival set.

Chemical Brothers had an impressive lighting set up. But I dunno, I just don't have as much respect for dj styled live set ups. I feel similarly about Daft Punk and Underworld (though Underworld has the added aspect of a live vocals). Though I do like each of those acts and enjoyed their live shows.

Tech N9ne > Busta Rhymes > Eminem

there was probly like 100,000 people (probly exaggerated, but there was a SHITLOAD, so who knows) at the Eminem show, so the epicness of that may never be topped, but Busta is a better stage performer, and Tech is even better than him

Guttermouth
Apocalypse Hoboken
7 Seconds/Los Crudos

Very few things are better than high-energy punk rock shows in dive venues.

SOOOOO JEALOUS

i had tickets to le tigre in 2004 and i got sick and then they broke up and ugh i hate my life again :!

I've been really lucky in that i've been able to see my favourite bands live.

in some way atleast

Morrissey
Dresden Dolls
Dax Riggs
MIA
RATM
The (original, mofos) Stooges
Skinny Puppy
Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Skinny Puppy ^ nice.

I will NEVER forget the time I saw Skinny Puppy 92 Last Rights Tour/Chicago. I had never heard their music before and a g/f and I went with some friends. We both took white blotter [1 a piece] and man I had NO idea what I was getting into. The maypole of death, blood, freaks, whoa. Got stuck down on the floor, good time. I think I was 14/15.

Crazy. Just listened to Warlock, man. What was I thinking :)

The Flaming Lips. Easily. Part of it is the massive amount of production that they put into their shows, and all the props they use, and the costumed dancers, and the visual presentation of it all, and the confetti cannons, etc., etc., etc. But part of it is just that Wayne Coyne has the most sincerely good-natured, generous, good-willed stage presence I've ever seen in a performer. He genuinely wants everyone at his show to make friends with each other. It's amazing.

Or maybe it's just that I was rolling really hard when I saw them. Either way, best show I've ever been to.

Explosions In The Sky

I was on a gram of dxm, and I ate 3 weed brownies. The concert was held in a opera room (so great acoustics). We sat on the upper deck with perfect view and sound. It was simply brilliant.

Seen Hatebreed and Machine Head and have to say it was one of the best concerts I'd been to in a while, even though Metal is no longer my regularly played music genre.

me neither. i went to skinny puppy when i was..17? i had never heard any of their music either, got a free ticket from a friend who had malaria or some shit? it was like a huge deal to her, took a whole bunch of speed, walked in, was like WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING?!

one of the most amazing nights of my life.

walked out covered in (fake) blood, spent all night fondling some chick, was most excellent. over the next 7 days my last.fm registered over 100 skinny puppy plays, hahahahahahhahaha. for like a month all i did was listen to skinny puppy. but that month was a hectic one, i saw Morrissey YYYs Skinny Puppy and The Dresden Dolls one right after another.
