I've been to my fair share of shows, but it was Ozzfest maybe 5 or so years ago when they had Marilyn Manson, Disturbed, and Korn, along with Ozzy and Zakk Wilde and the Black Label Society of course. That show really rocked. The show was at the what is now the Comcast Center which is about a half hour from Boston. Manson's show was so much better than I expected, Korn was absolutely unreal. This was like my third time seeing Ozzy, so it wasn't as spectacular as I once thought it was.

Also, Killswitch Engage was on the second stage.

I also went the previous year where it was Rob Zombie, System of a Down, Drowning Pool, P.O.D., and Adema, I missed the second stage that year because I was pretty drunk in the parking lot.
 
there's not too many out there these days that are worth seeing.
i agree with Jekyll. but i wiiisssshhh soo bad i was 21 in the 90's, then i would have gotten to see manson and nin without having to go to different countries. wtf is that. and nin stopped touring. come on.

so i guess, if i have to say the best ive seen live.. was afi, ugh.

and i cant belive i forgot about this, whats wrong with me-- im just blonde and too high all the time, BUT the best EVER ive seen and prob the best expirience ill ever have with a band was The Birthday Massacre, the lead singer met me before the show and hugged me and i was a total crying mess and it was great and during the show she said my name on stage and they all gave me there song lists and all this free merch.. i looked like this little preppy tan girl all surrounded by these overweight goths who had no idea what any of the lyrics were.. but i did :)
THAT was the best.

Parkway Drive/August Burns Red. Amazing show, got on stage and sung for a few lines. Made my month great :D

For entertainment purposes, GWAR was by far the best show I've ever been to. That show was beyond fun. Damn, that was back in 2002, hah.

But other good shows would include the following:

• Aesop Rock.
• Atmosphere.
• Poison The Well.
• As I Lay Dying (before they got huge.)
• Spine Shank.
• Lil Wyte, lol.
• Blockhead,
• Primer 55.
• Ekotren.

I don't know, there's way too many to list. I've been going to shows for over a decade, lol.

I saw Fintroll in 2008. I spent the night jigging and moshing, good times were had by all.
 
Deerhunter.

Bradford was hilarious between songs (and occasionally during songs). He is amazing. The venue was one of my favourites. It's a smallish venue. Plus I was high on k, which was perfect for it. The band was taking requests for what songs to play most of the night.

Also, Talib Kweli.

He was enthusiastic and energetic. Didn't miss a word (a lot of the time, with live hip hop, it really annoys me when the rappers miss words because they're out of breath). He was charismatic and funny between songs. And he performed for about two hours.

Then at the end, he told everyone that they'd be having the afterparty on stage, and they pulled a bunch of people on stage and then the dj played a bunch of classic party jams (Biggie, Snoop, Dre, Mobb Deep). And then Talib started dj'ing (he was terrible at mixing, but it was cool to see what he played).
 
I consider this duo to be a band even thou they are "electronic" music....

Autechre blew my fyucking mind with a keyboard and two drum machines with delay...... WOW

3) The New Deal
4) 90's Phish
5) Dave Matthews Band (especially earlier years)
6) Bone Thugs was pretty tight back in 96/97 (with nas and Lost boys)
7) Jazz Mandolin with that young drummer who toured with them once (cant think of name).... and with fishman
8) String Cheese is a good show
9) Claypool with buckethed playing the whole of "Shine On"....... that might be closer to the top 5
 
Another concert I really enjoyed was Grand Funk Railroad. They were preceded by an awesome band named Mountain. Ahh, the early 70's and Rock-n-Roll, great, great memories!!
