will i get addictive to heroin if i try it?

i want to try every drug in my lifetime and this is the main one that i do want to try... it sounds interesting but i do not want to turn out a smack head trying it or anything like that.

IMO- every person is different as to which drugs their brain will adore.
But I never would take that chance, even if its a small one. The possible outcome is too devestating.
 
It's down to your willpower as said above, if your the kind of person who goes out for a quick drink and ends up on a weekend long bender or can't leave a couple of buds sitting alone then i would be very carefull, especially if you can score easily. I have very strong willpower but i came close to loosing the plot with coke back in time and that's just mental, no physical shit and i don't remember seeing it coming.

Whatever your choice dude play safe.

Just off track a little, does anyone remember the ad campaign run in the Uk in the 80's showing the girl getting addicted to H in about a week ? I always thought she look so hot having a chase in front of her mirror :) gotta love stoner girls :) :)
 
Physical addiction is guaranteed if you use it regularly over the course of [possibly] 3 days to 7 days. Mental, or emotional addiction, is a big maybe. If you have an addictive personality perhaps you should not even try it. Some can use it casually, some even hate it so much on the first try that they never seek it again. Others though develop a lifelong love affair beginning with their first taste.

hmm, i think i will end up trying it... i would be smoking it if i do... since iv never smoked crack or h im not sure how to setup the pipe or anything.... could someone help me out on this?

Whether you get addicted or not, is a hard question to answer because what you have to count in is a lot of things like: why would you do this at all, have you ever had some problems with other drugs, are you trying to run away from something? Problems will add to your probable addiction. Trying it once won't make you feel what it's loved and hated for. You might just start thinking what the heck people are talking about it's the best drug in the world until the second, third, fourth... time. That's pretty much the way I got involved and you're going to start on the highest level.

It's going to be a hard decision when you nod out for the first time.
 
its ment to be one of the best drugs you can ever do, but when it comes to heroin people think you are scum... thats why i dint want to do it and then become a addict... my uncel has tried every drug (he was an addict to speed) going including H... he smoked it... only once... but he said never ever go near it? why is this?

i don't no why i want to do it, people say its the best drug they have ever done... but the off side to it like i stated above i don't want to become that.

i want to try it for the experience.
 
So, if you want to feel "it", you would have to try it a few times because it doesn't make the full effect for the first time. Generally speaking, it's your receptors that don't respond well at the beginning but hell, they will shortly after.

I didn't start from heroin but morphine is pretty much the same just slower acting, a bit more sedating at the beginning, can't really compare it well. But you know what? When I felt it for the first time, there was no way for me to think I wouldn't do that again! It was so easy, delicate, fresh, and mellow I would never imagine the shock of withdrawal. If I had a chance to decide again, I wouldn't be so curious. ;/ Yet, I would have had to know how it feels. So here I am to tell you! It's shitty afterwards.


Well, just one thing to add. I don't want to sound so one-sided. There is really no evidence everyone gets addicted to opiates. But it's highly possible when you feel 'all the bad is gone' and heroin will trick you in that, it's only a trick, the best lie in the world 99% of people will believe.
 
man even the most hardkore heroin addict had to start by just trying it. thats how i started oxy.

be carfull and treat all things derived from the poppy with great respect.

benzos are way less reinforcing than virtually all the other major drugs. a lot of bluelighters dont even find them recreational let alone addictive.

Koosh: I suggest doing a search of this forum, as well as a general search on Google. Not only have there been many many threads and online articles [as well as FAQs] about the subject, but in one of the threads in this forum [about 2 years ago maybe] I posted a link to a municpal drug authority in the Netherlands. This site has an actual video as well as easy to read instructions on how to smoke heroin correctly and safely.


One thing you should remember though, is that heroin in its unaltered state is not fit for smoking [except "blacktar" and "homebake" forms."

There is a grading system consisting of 4 numerals to classify the different forms of heroin [devised by the US Govt.] Heroin #3 is the form expressly made for smoking. Unfortunately, #3 is not really produced anymore and is almost NEVER available in the Western Hemisphere, and very rarely outside of S.E. Asia.

In Europe, including of course the UK, the most common form of heroin is Heroin #2, which is actually a freebase. This too can be smoked but not optimumly. For all types except #3, "Homebake," and "Tar," you need to alter the substance. The problem one faces is that heroin's melting point is far too high in its unaltered state. This means that the heroin takes far too long to vaporise resulting in most of the heroin being wasted. This can be recitified by throughly mixing caffeine hcl., with the heroin in a ratio of 60:40, with 60 representing the heroin.

Fatmatt: If you purify your heroin you know exactly what you are getting. You should also know that there counterfeit Oxys on American streets.

iv never seen heroin in my life... (only movies), how can i tell what type of heroin is which? and would it be ok to snort it, etc... thanks.

PS: snorting it would be just like setting up a line of coke and doing that... right? 8(
 
I can't believe you guys are encouraging him to try heroin.
We can't tell you if you'll get addicted... But I've never met a person who has "try'd it just once"

im going to try it one way or another... i just wanted some advice before i go ahead with it.
 
Snorting heroin just like setting up a line of coke? WTF?? NO!

You want to start with a dot about this size: 'o' , maybe less, and wait at least forty five minutes to see how it affects you. Lots of overdoes occur because people don't wait long enough for the drug to exert its effects, and they take more. Then when it does hit they are too panicked or too out of it - unconscious even - to do anything about it. If someone has told you that snoring H is just like snorting coke, then that person either wants you to die or has not done heroin and/or cocaine. Not even once. It only takes one try with your experienced buddy to understand how much is used the first time. It's not hard to understand, or easy to forget. And while each person is different, snorting coke-sized lines of heroin would kill most people.
