Why you smiling son? Version Abe Froman, the sausage king of New York

Just had a call from my best friend who is away at the moment.

So freaking happy! =D

Best best best way to end the week <3

I'm really glad that getting stupidly drunk on cheap wine in dodgy pubs, calling Sir American B to introduce him to my night and then having my flatmate field dodgy emails about the fact my workmates are concerned for my safety is, 'Doing a Yarni.'

At the end of the day, I have retained both friends and job, neither of which I deserve. I'm pretty much OJ Simpson right now.

You guys make me smile-laughhappy-fantastic.

Oh and the best thing? I stole an inflatable pirates sword. MOTHERFUCKING WIN!

Oh no, sounds like you're in "friends" territory.

Oh shit, you're right. Looks like I totally pulled a Yarni!

The michael jackson obsession may have something to do with it.

I would just like to comment on the utterly ridiculous nature of this statement as most women pretty much love men who love Michael Jackson.

Paris :)

Although the 24rs of flight time and 11hrs in airports may well beat me black and 2 shades of blue

Ive an industry cocktail party waiting 2hs after i touch down and im pretty sure i'll fall on my face at the first whiff of bubbles

mmmm, bubbles

Dear 1234,

If you had a phone that;

a) worked
b) was answered on most occasions

you may get more social calls from Sydney/ LA.

;) Miss you shitloads though, idiot.

I thought that base camp mt everest would mean that it would be at the base of the mountain. It is 2/3's of the way up. 5400mtrs. I knew this but did not know that Mt Everest is 8, 820 mtrs. Me and my friend had absolutely no idea what we were getting ourselves into but now we are twice as excited. We actually have to start training pretty much from now till then , aerobic and endurance and build muscle strength. We have to get full medicals and find out what happens when you get altitude sickness which is pretty much garentee'd to some degree or another. Wow. The preparation is going to be so much more involved than i thought. Like, so SO much more. Im excited and scared, all at the same time.

Having some rockclimbing experience and also some mountaineering knowledge, i must tell you that Mt Everest is certainly not a joke! Altitude sickness is a very real and potentially life threatening condition. It won't be so bad if you are only venturing to base camp 1 on Everest, but much higher and things start to get pretty serious.

Training beforehand is basically mandatory as the body has to work much much harder due to minimal amounts of oxygen in the air at that kind of altitude.

Have fun though, i'd love to go.

It's an absolutely stunning day today in Brisbane - not a cloud in the sky, and the sky is SO blue! I'm being a domestic goddess today, i'm taking my neighbour and i grocery shopping, i'm making Osso Bucco (which freezes beautifully), then she's cooking me dinner tonight.

Tomorrow is going to be spent with family. <3

'Tis a good weekend.

:)

My =D is you!! Every day makes it closer to when you haul your arse here permanently :D

*CANT FRIGGEN WAIT!!*

...and we just went shopping for home at Campbells Ringwood with my work card...12ks of laundry powder for $10!!

The boy and I went to the Good Food and Wine Show today... it was packed, had a disappointing number of stands from shit people like Campbells, microwave meal brands etc, and all the wine being showcased was rubbish.

But still, we'd paid $25 to get in, so made the most of the free tastings, and came away half cut and with some yummy dark chocolate coated macadamia nuts, so all in all, a good day :)

I bought a bloody awesome succulent today :)

Its a species of Euphorbia that I have never seen before, it caught my eye and I had to have it. I got it super cheap also, its unusual so some people would pay heaps for a big one :D

I didn't know there was any succulents in the Euphorbia genus, although I just wikied it and realise it's a lot bigger genus than I knew. Fun to learn new things. Euphorbia peplus is one of my most hated plants. It reproduces so damn quickly!
