Why you smiling son? Version Abe Froman, the sausage king of New York

I had my first shift at the homeless shelter I'm volunteering at this morning and it was just fantastic. The people were so friendly, happy to meet me, let me join in a game of backyard bowls and yeah, it went much better than I anticipated.

^ That's really good to hear. I'm glad you're getting involved in something that sounds like it could be pretty inspiring
:)

I don't think No Vodka On Tuesdays qualifies as a good cause, miss. ;)

I'm smiling because after a few quick gins I left the pub so I could go home to read frankie. While reading frankie I missed my bus stop. The bus stop I ended up getting off at was out the front of a video store. The video store had DVDs for $1 a week on Wednesday. They also had Before Sunrise and Before Sunset which I've wanted to see for ages and ages.

frankie, movies, gin and buses are all essential for health, wealth and well-being.

All is not lost yet - my major project supervisor came out of hiding and told me to finish the report and get his signature so I can submit it and carry on.

Also some Flight of the Conchords skits I watched on Youtube.

You lie.

And lies are not good for health either.

(Mostly)

My car is broken. Buses are pretty much the raddest thing ever. Especially the bendy ones with faulty brakes.

I saw the most awful movie tonight, I went by myself, and I was at the counter and I asked the young man behind it,

soooo.... What is 'The Happening' about ?
'Well, its about people who catch a virus , and once they get it, they want to kill themselves'

I thought it would be great, but its probably one of the most terrible movies I have ever seen. It was going for the horror/ comedy thing, but the only reason we laughed was at how bad the acting was ! So it made me smile that I saw a movie by myself and it was terrible and I still went home with a smile.

This makes no sense, excuse me.

Does it need a band aid?

Buses in melbourne do not have faulty breaks. But they often have crack-addled drivers.

Which is somewhat similar.

If you imagine you are on a formula one course through peak hour melbourne, it's probably worth a smile.

Having my brother back for a couple of weeks has put another smile on my dial.
Loving his impulse shopping condition that results in near new clothes for moi.

Even though he is a bit sick at the moment and is convinced he won't come out this weekend. OK, he is a bit bummed because his blood counts are slightly squewed, despite the doc putting it down to a bug from Indo, but I had to force a smile as I resisted punching him in the face when he said he wouldn't go through chemo again and would instead cash in all his property and die slowly in Asia somewhere...... fuck he can be a whiney little emo sometimes:| He doesn't even find Asian girls attractive, so how will he go out with a bang there??? He could at least choose Iceland.... the gutless cunt!

Getting a text from Mr Dogg at 1am last night, live from Paris, also had me smiling. But it could have been the fact I was wearing his dressing gown and searching through his underwear at the time.....:D

Plans for body modification has a grin beginning to form also... although I am a little miffed I can't get the retractable talons I was aiming for, titanium will do as a suitable replacement...:)

Waking up to another morning is always smile worthy......... lots of <3 to the morning wake up call.......

Every second Thursday I always get paid SO much more than what I was expecting... its a casual job, and I always guess about $200 under what Im getting paid... its awesome ! Eg, I only worked about 6 days out of 14 last week ( i would normally work about 12) and I still got paid like $800 !!!

Makes me happy ! (in my pants !)

I concur.

So I go to shave this mornin',
an' there's a cat curl'd up in the sink.
Sink is still wet.

Lookin' up at me,
like,
'what?'

Cat leaves, I wash,
sink
&
shave,
go to get somethin',
come back to get in the shower.

Open shower curtain,
there's this cat standin' in the bath.
Bath is still wet.

Lookin' up at me,
like,
'what?'

I go to the bathroom,
come back to into the 'Den',
an' there's a cat drinkin' my cup of green tea.
Looks up at me,
like,
'what?'

I've never written this,
but lolcat. =D

PEACE
UnSquare

The deadline I missed was flexible so I'm fine.

I'm getting to know this new girl who seems really interesting and on my wavelength. She's a couple years older than me but she seems pretty cool, so we'll see what happens, plus she's hot.

I got a letter yesterday formally offering me a place in Bachelor of Social Work / Social Science (Psychology) with the mid-year intake at RMIT.
