Another braces mug shot.
Got my first adjustment today. Still look pretty stoopid while grinning. Heh. But now I don't give a shit about my crooked teeth showing cos its pretty obvious I'm doing something about it.!!!

Check it:

I had braces in high school and not only did it straighten my teeth, it changed the whole shape of my face. Cheekbones... everything.

So thanks, Dr $8000 Braces :D

Dw kittymeow, the results are well, well worth the pain of those dam annoying metal things, im gettin mine off soonish, cnt wait.

Oooh another brace-face! Do post pics ;)

Thanks SLM - and you do indeed have lovely teeth!! <3

DS - I hope my face changes a bit too. My lower jaw could do with a bit of widening which should happen I hope. Its amazing what can be done with a couple of strips and chunks of metal! =D

^^ I had braces also, at around 23 years of age, was well worth it (hated the #*&#& things though, was so self conscious about them).

My teeth are so straight now, I can't imagine not having done it.

I basicly had a new car in my mouth. I got braces in 6th grade...they took them off and put them back on because I had tohave a tooth implanted and they didn't want them to move....so I wore them until senior year of HS. 7 YEARS!
Plus when I had my wisdom teeth pulled they had to do a bone graft to where I needed the missing tooth implanted and they they put a mental rod into my jaw bone a capped the false tooth over it. FUN FUN.

I just had my braces taken off a month ago. At first they looked terrible, I had two springs in my mouth so I kind of looked like Jaws (the bond villain, not the shark). But within a year and a half they were off, I was lucky in that my parents footed the bill for what ever insurance wouldn't cover, it was close to $4k in total. Now I have the retainer, at least it comes out when I'm eating, but I sound a little drunk sometimes when I talk, oh well. I should post the before and after pictures, huge difference.
