Why is Oxycontin more popular than other opioids. I.E. Dilaudid , Suboxone

Why? They both have oxycodone in it..

I and many of my friends prefer the brand name as it's usually what people have, whenever i came across a generic brand it tended to gel up more when snorted.

A K8 is a Dilaudid 8mg, which is hydromorphone, not oxycodone. And as far as the Roxi's, I just like them better than OC's, easier to bang.

Oh okay i didnt know what k8 meant figured it was ageneric oc name.

I've never banged oc so i dont have anything to add to that, i love snortin em tho.
 
how can people say subo has no recreational value? i can boot 3 80s at once but when i snort 16 mg of subo i am strung the fuck out for at least 24 hours, cleaning, working, dancing, its nuts how cheap, potent and euphoric it is. i prefer them unless its that time of the month for oxy, which does have a bit more euphoric high... but really, you get more for your money with subo IMO.

dilaudids are obvious... they suck unless you boot them, in which case they an amazing rush followed by a chilled out high an hour afterwards if you do a bunch.

I did D4's for 10 years. Liquid Morph is really nice too,except when ya miss.

That's why I like Oxycontin. I fight depression and OC makes it easy for me to be creative and get shit done. Which is also why I try to stay away from it now. It's too easy to use it as a motivation pill when what I want to do is to learn how to overcome my blocks and depression without a magic pill.

It did help me to overcome my shyness, which was crippling, and fortunately that benefit has remained though my OC use has ceased. But I did a lot of CBT as well. The OC helped me to employ the techniques I'd learned from my therapist.
 
i've yet to find any dilly's in my area, or just haven't met the right people.

i wonder what is the most oc80's you can cook down and use in a 1cc syringe? i've gone 2 deep so far and that seems like it's almost to much material for the amount of water that can be used.
 
i'll take hydromorphone(dilaudid) over oc or a blue anyday of the week.I prefer it over Heroin, and definatley over oxy and morphine.its my drug of choice, im sadly obsessed and in love with dilaudid.help.
 
cuz u can eat/snort oxy. dillies u gotta IV to feel it good, and less people r into iving around here.
 
imo because it is abundant. if dilaudid were hitting the same streets with the same numbers there would be no match...... once again imo. but hydromorphone is tightly controlled. moreso than oxy apparently. there's a good reason why: when about ten friends and I, who were all oxy, vicodin, methadone, etc. worshippers first had a taste of dilaudid we all agreed that it is far superior in euphoria than any other opiate. oxy is more of a downer - hydromorphone would be more functional for people with demanding jobs and coursework.

Oxycodone has become the perfect drug for kids in the suburbs.

It is not that cheap, so you don't have too many real junkies using it exclusively. Making it a semi high class drug (as is the class difference between cocaine and crack)

It is easily prepared. Buy it, remove coating, and either eat it, snort it, shoot it, or w/e

It's everywhere! It is very commonly over-prescribed to pain patients in excessive amounts, who then have the ability to sell them for easy money.

Purity is not an issue. You know what is and isn't in it. No more rumors of rat poison or broken glass in your junk.

You don't have to buy it from drug addicts or in the hood. A lot of people selling these things are normal people in nice neighborhoods. Makes 15 year old rich white girls not afraid to go cop.

It has a high intranasal BA. You know how kids love to snort EVERYTHING

It received a tremendous amount of press about how people were getting high off it. (Imagine if Heroin had commercials telling people "Watch out! Heroin gets you feeling high as fuck!)

People think it's safe. Somehow because it's a pharm. people assume it's safe to use.

Easy access. Get a group of kids together and let them search all of their parent's medicine cabinets....I would be shocked if they didn't end up with some opiates, benzos, and amphetamines.

The list goes on....

Oh and it just makes me laugh when people hear about dilaudid, go sniff a pill, and then talk about how weak that shit is compared to OCs. Fucking morons. Take that little pill and use it properly and come back and talk shit on dillies. (although I don't actually encourage IV'ing drugs to get a better rush, as it is a very bad idea to start doing so.)

Believe it or not, no. Never put anything directly into my veins, nor did my friends, although we all had fairly large oc habits for not-so-hardcore drug users. Despite the bio-availability data and every other opinion, I know it wasn't my imagination because about 10 other of my opiate-using friends who were used to doing 100+ mg of oc per day were unanimous about hydromorphone's superiority - intra-nasally taken. Way longer lasting euphoria, way stronger feeling in general, and no dopey stoner syndrome. The problem with oc imo is its tendency to turn into a serious downer when used for long periods of time. I have never had this problem with vic or dilaudid, which could be compared to cocaine with regard to energy and euphoria whereas oc is more like weed for people who graduated to a more stoned-out drug. As far as the initial question, it's all a quantity decision.

If someone said they had both methadone and dilaudid, but I wasn't allowed to know the quantities to be obtained of each, I would buy half diluadid and half methadone. Both are similarly badass, and if there was some oc then I would get a lesser amount of that because it gets really boring after a few weeks. I start getting mad at my video game controller and stupid shit.

as far as oc being hill-billy heroin? yeah right - that stuff started in the private schools - and it was initially given out for free by the bottle to groups of popular people because after it started the money wouldn't stop. afaik the DEA and local law enforcement have done a fairly decent job of shutting it out of most of the places it used to be problematic (i.e. high schools and colleges). I mean, a lot of kids didn't know what they were getting themselves into... we're talking about 10th graders who thought they were just experimenting with some pill. Hell, I had a friend like Tommy from Trainspotting who did a complete 360 turn in his third year of college because he wasn't properly educated about any drug and then started taking oc because it was around. Fucked his whole life up.

I think the #1 reason Oxys became so popular is because of hype...originally, and still a lot of people think it's essentially akin to "pharmacutical heroin". A lot of people also think it's safer and healthier to use than heroin. I've met more oxycontin junkies and heroin junkies in rehabs
