Why is Oxycontin more popular than other opioids. I.E. Dilaudid , Suboxone

Location, location, location! It depends on where you are. Where I am, dilaudid is by far more popular than oxy!
If your pain level is high - it won't do shit! I broke my neck a few months ago, and the ER didn't do anything for my pain, until 3 hours later (after CT scans), and gave me a 30 mg dose of Dilaudid. As my friends walked me out, one said, "You must be feeling really good, huh?" Other said, "Ah, she's not weaving or anything - don't you feel anything?"
All I felt was a deadening of lumbar pain, from sharp to dull. I could've driven home, it was so lame - rather, the bastards waited so long to do something about my pain, I felt NOTHING! I was bummed; got hit by an SUV on my bike, and all I got was this lousy t-shirt!

Opana A.K.A. Oxymorphone owns Hydromorphone and they are getting more prevalent on the street it seems.
Oxy is popular due to marketing and the media. I find it hard to believe tho that someone would find Hydromorphone superior to O.C. when the ROA is oral or insufflated. They are just talking to talk. If you're banging the shit, Dilaudid A.K.A. Hydromorphone owns O.C. Both of them have a pretty short half life so the buzz from either one of those wears off pretty quickly, but the Dilly rush is far superior to the weak come on of O.C.
The whole "I love Dillies, gimme Dillies over H any day.", is lame as fuck too. That just means that you've never gotten your hands on some good H. The only, and I mean ONLY pharm that can hold a candle to GOOD H besides some exotic Fent analogue is Oxymorphone.
In short order...H/Oxymorphone, Hydromorphone, Morphine, then Oxycodone, when it comes to dumping that shit into your blood stream. And that is regarding the intensity of the rush.
If I had a choice I would take H or Oxymorphone...Probably Oxymorphone first because of the superior rush and the high lasts longer than most other opiates. Then I would take Morphine, again, because of the duration of the high.
Fucking Suboxone???? Are you kidding me? Unless you are a total noob or you need to get unsick that shit is useless.
IF you are gonna' fuck around with opiates, or any other drug for that matter, it is wise to educate yourself in regards to the shit you are doing.

30 mgs of Dilly??? In your I.V. line?? You didn't feel it? You're either mistaken or lying since the therapeutic I.V. dose is between .5 and 4 millies. If they gave it to you orally, which I doubt that they'd dose you that high in the E.R. I can see you not feeling them, IF you had a tolerance.
Saying shit like that is dangerous, since it's probably misinformation, and someone that is opiate naive is gonna read that post, grab some Dillies and think that they can eat 7 of them, since you didn't feel it, and they are gonna' hit the dirt.

i just love ocs cuz im scared of heroin and im afraid of needles... never liked opiates until i bumped an oc 2 yrs ago. been hooked on them ever since (and of course because theyre made in a lab and u know EXACTLY what ur getting for your money, as opposed to H where u have no idea where it comes from, whats in it, if its good shit or not, etc)

majority of people who are doing OC probably aren't injectors. and I dunno about where you guys are, but OC's flooded the drug market around me. dilly was never even mentioned, along with fent, morphine, opana...
its just because of the hype, the convenience, and the huge amount of them being prescribed so easily. probably mostly because of the hype too. heroin is around in huge amounts and is very convenient, but its got that stigma, so it doesn't have that many users. OC is more of a young suburban HS/college kid drug. heroin appeals to the person who is sick of using so much OC and spending so much money because they have been using for some time.
