Why do you do psychedelics ?

I totally see jimmy's point of and basically agree.
But I totally laugh at his depressio view of things. What the fuck happened to you, jimmy, to make you so fucking depressed and jaded.
Of course its retarded to take a drug and feel holy just because you took a drug, but really you've gotta look at life and realize "Whatever". The whole point of living is to pursue the things you enjoy, and enjoy the things you do- everything from 9-5 work to your personal life. And if a certain drug is so good that it makes ya see everything as beautiful and helps ya cut through the bullshit that mars the sanctity of a new day, then that drug is a gift straight from God.
Seriously man, pull your head from your ass because you're seeing everything through shit colored lenses. Drugs are drugs, and psychedelics are some productive, safe, life enhancing-ass drugs. Look at how positive the PD forum is- sure dimensional travel, plant spirits, universal love etc are pretty nonsensical fantasy ideas, but they're about infinity times better than the literal hell opiate, benzo, alcohol, amphetamine and whatever else produces.
And if a man or woman can live their whole life in the fantasy of universal love and die, well than goddamn! they beat the game. You may think that a grimier shitter existance is more 'true'- but then go cut your wrists emo kid. If a person is gonna spend their time and their money chasing a high, the psychedelic high is a world above any other.

I figure all we have in this world is our perception and our experience. why not see existence from a new perspective. see what else there is to see? why is it that the regular everyday way of perceiving the world is the only acceptable one?
Further, we are here to experience. we are here to learn and to see as much as we can. this is just another path of learning that one can take. it is just another bit of experience to rack up on the physical plane before we go the way of the dodo. as long as you have moderation and are not an idiot there is nothing wrong with making the choice to alter your mind.
the way i figure it, we have so many filters set up in our brain. we start learning them from day 1. our brain processes out much of the sensory input from the world. drugs give you a way to change or break down some of those barriers. for example, think of the elctromagnetic spectrum. vision works based on visible wavelengths of light bouncing off of surfaces to our eyes but there are tons of wavelengths that we cannot see. who is to say that there is a ton of stuff that refelcts those wavelengths that we cannot detect and therefore our brain has determined that they dont exsts. or maybe it wasnt useful on an evlutionary level so we stopped seeing them long ago. there is a huge world out there that we cannot experience in every day life. why not experience it sometimes. just take a step outside and see whats going on, ya know

Psychedelics are simply tools. There is nothing absolutely magical about them. If you do not expect a magical experience, it will probably never come to you. They only serve as catylists to unlock the potential of your mind. I once thought that psyches were magical things and that when LSD came around again and I introduced some of my friends to it that they would learn, grow, and become new people from the experience the same way I had. I was wrong. To them, it was just another drug; no different from weed, coke, alcohol and opiates. I was a little disapointed but I figured it was their loss. It is only like that to them because they refuse to take the experience seriously. Psychedelics are whatever you make them out to be.

Every different time I trip its for a different reason. Sometimes its to have fun, sometime because its a drug ive never tried and sometimes its because I want to expand my mind and look outside the square, probably other reasons i cant think of right now, but its different all the time.

I'm sort of the opposite... MDMA makes me kind of useless and forgetful, while psychedelics make me think about everything and get in touch with myself. I've also noticed that since trying about two dozen new psychedelic chemicals on top of the classics, I'm much more able to utilize the psychedelic mindstate. I seem to understand it better.

in terms of all out physc.zz how powerful is LSD. I ve tried very strong mushrooms, as in, a strong trip for more than three hours. It was ok but ive heard the rush from LSD is super powerful.
I'm a little more keen on the rush than the trip. Candy - flipping is supposed to be outta this world and into the next....
