Which drug is the most damaging to the brain?

That shitty street demerol analog MPTP caused instant parkinson dedease, was it so? I saw once a film of the patients and they were sad, more than sad to look.

Massive amounts of alchol and huffing...
 
i notice changes in my personality after i had done rock for like a month straight on and off skippin a couple day betwen...so i do think that has major affects on the brain ,but my uncle has smoked it since he was 16 he is 33 or so now and he acts the same as always as i see it...

just last night i seen an old friend ,that i have literally known all my life ,well he alot older but still a friend i guess ,but he is MAJOR alcaholic ,lives on the street now,he didnt even know who i was ....its amamzing ,if only he would take my advice

What's up with crack , it's a natural alkaloid , and might be very psychologically damaging for some people but not like as in brain damage

I bet alcohol is more neurotoxic than crack

anyway, actually cocaine is relatively benign as far as permanent damage.

I'm suprised nobody has mentioned LSD with all the 'it makes you permanently trip' hype that was attached to it when I was growing up.

MPTP is not technically a drug and from what I gather clean MPPP does not cause brain damage although the risk factor attached to it and the cheapness of it to produce mean that it takes a certain sort of person to want to mess with it.

Inhalents are probably the most degrading variety of 'drug' to mess with, if you can even call it that. They will cause brain damage but I would advise people to not even consider experimenting with them.

Stimulants that raise the BP can be damaging if you use too much of them. I would advise people to use these only in moderation and with caution.

Cannabis can mess up your studies and lower your ambitions but I would not go as far as to say that it causes brain damage.

Some of the smartest people in society use alcohol and tobacco. These drugs cause physical damage if used on a regular basis but not brain damage.

Alcohol causes physical damage to various types of cells

One type of cells damaged by heavy alcohol use are neurones

Neurones are the main type of cells making up the CNS (brain)


From this, you can make the logical deduction that alcohol damages the constituent cells of the brain. If that's not brain damage then nothing is...
 
Sudden death from alcohol? Does it happen?

I'm curious to know if there are any cases (or how many) of "sudden death" such as overdose of a "newbie" to alcohol? Everybody's heard about the long-term problems with alcohol, but what about short-term heart problems/death?

ever heard of alcohol posioning? it can and does happen...usually youll puke b4 u get there, but some arent so lucky, and some dont have some certain encyme to break down alcohol quickly enough....

its very real and does happen, id dig up some references, but im about to leave work, google alcohol poisoning
 
yea it happens,when people try and prove they got bigger dicks or whatever ...and start chugging

Happens alot actually. It happened to me when I was 17, the doctors said some people have a natural tolerance to Alcohol and just keep on drinking and drinking and drinking, making it harder for them to gauge how much to drink, just to get "drunk". So they end up dead. If my friends hadn't have called the ambulance, I would've ended up dead. Not big noting or anything, because I actually felt ashamed of myself at the time, but they said at the level of alcohol I blew, I shouldn't be here today.
One minute I was skulling straight scotch from a full bottle, next minute there was a void. Stupid yes... but I was only young and had a sense of indestructability.
Not so many kids have the luck I did.
 
Definitely meth...crack is a close second but no...meth is mainly the only drug that quickly can actually make perfectly normal people permanently insane or retarded...crack has the worst short term effects but meth wins long term. BUT I have to say I huffed gas once and I could actually feel like half my brain cells die...so if gasoline was a drug it would be that hands down.
