🌟🌟 Social 🌟🌟 What's the last film you saw? v. Why doesn’t Peter Jackson wear shoes?

Hw could I see it If I didn't even know it. Ty. 👍
Yep it is still there and free. I loved the ending. I was shocked to see 100% critics and 100% Audience on Rotten Tomatoes.

It was great. A mix of Subtitles and English, but still it was great. The ending was incredible and the movie was beautifully shot. A great suspense thriller. I was stunned, at the ending I didn't see coming.

I was going to answer you sooner but my internet went out. It was really weird. I had a strong signal, I was connected but no
internet. Hmm.

It's back now but my news station keeps shutting on and off too. Just saying. Could be the weather. lol. I hope.

Thank you. This sounds real good !! <3

Wildwood will definitely be in my top 3 of 2026. One of the better animated films I've seen.
(Also caught a $2 screening of Halloween, never hurts to rewatch a classic for the 73rd time)

It's old but still good and is definitely not at all far-fetched in terms of where current tech is with AI and stuff. I didn't think the sci-fi would become so realistic so quickly. Oscar Isaac really does a brilliant job of acting as a Billionaire tech bro and the lack of scruples line up perfectly with the Ellisons, the Musks, the Zuzkerburgs, the Altmans etc of today. I'd already seen it when it came out, but wanted to see how it stacked up to today's reality. Definitely worth a watch and keeps you guessing the first time.

EX MACHINA (7.9/10)

They Look Like People

Really enjoyed it.
It's about two friends that reunite after drifting apart. One of them becomes convinced that there are creatures that wish to do harm to the human race hiding among the people around him.

It has the same actors and director who is also an actor in each film as When I Consume You; which is a film I saw a long time ago that I really liked.

The Wraith (1986)

Bought the bluray recently. Really enjoy it among the cheesy 80s teen targeted film genre. Fantastic soundtrack IMO.

Bonus points for Sherilyn Fenn's gorgeous tits :)

7/10

Really wish they wouldn't of cut some important content and plot points.

After making her escape she boarded a car instead of a helicopter and it switched to her perspective. You would of saw that she wasn't really seeing the trees, sky, and the driver's face or hearing his voice but rather interpreting everything as raw data. It'd have also tied back to the convo her and Caleb had about the Mary's Room thought experiment. Additionaly the dance scene was suposed to be allot longer.

Shit, I didn't watch the trailer. I'm going to remove it.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2009)

Watched it once many years ago, wife and I watched it again tonight. Many scenes were hard to stomach… but damn it was a good film. Great acting, eerie vibes. Really felt sucked into the story.

I loved the books as a kid.
Maybe I'll check the movies out...

This is a movie about the schism between the original skinhead movement and the boneheads groups, with a child teared up between the two movements

The Battle of Algiers (1966)

Very good film. Difficult subject matter. Well worth a watch by anyone and everyone though.

9/10

Same director had a film called Burn! starring Marlon Brando that was quite good as well, similar subject matter of struggles for independence.

Was on a big vampire kick right before Halloween this year.

The Last Voyage of the Demeter was first. Maybe not the best movie but it's super upfront about what it is and right up my alley personally so it's definitely going to be remembered by me as one of my favorite movies of all time. Granted, one of my favorite original characters for roleplaying is a pirate captain who is also a vampire so it felt like a little horror love letter written just for me.

Then we watched the french Dracula from 2025 and it was... Maybe clear there weren't women on the writing team... X.x Cannot confirm just got to make fun of it for how face-locked the characters were ahahaha. I understand passion but it took me out of my suspension of disbelief for a moment watching the character Mina make no sense to me at all. Don't recommend it, really.

And of course I had to finish with a more proper Dracula after that so we went for the 1992 classic Bram Stoker's Dracula. Definitely closer to how the story should be told, I believe. Can't out classic one that's already golden, I suppose!

Disclosure Day (6.9/10)

I watched it yesterday and it's a fun sci-fi romp. There were some interesting ideas in there and some good integration of some tropes regarding the subject matter. Did it have some dumb and fairly underwhelming action scenes? Yes. Was the overall movie entertaining with a fairly decent premise? Yes. Was some of the acting a little subpar and cartoonish? Also yes. Did it need to be 2.5 hrs long? No. Was it fun to smoke a joint and watch? Yes. Definitely not Spielberg's best work; but It was decent.
