🌟🌟 Social 🌟🌟 What's the last film you saw? v. Why doesn’t Peter Jackson wear shoes?

Talk to Me, it was a rewatch for me as my partner and I were hunting a scary movie to watch last night. Really enjoyed it, freaky moment happened IRL where a gust of wind slammed the door to his room right behind us shut right as the plot was hinting at the potential for paranormal activities outside the boundaries of the prior described/illustrated constraints so I really couldn't have asked for a better timing there- ahahaha

Little Dieter Needs to Fly (1997)

A lot of Herzog's more documentary stuff can be hit or miss. I'd had this film on my Prime watchlist for... four, maybe five years. It was at the bottom and I could never bring myself to watch it. Well, with my forced sobriety and subsequent depression resulting from said sobriety, I have found myself utterly bored, day in day out. Decided to start chipping away at my huge ass watchlist and landed on this one as it is only about an hour and twenty minutes long.

What a visceral film! I would not call this fun entertainment. The story of a German born American who immigrated to the US after WWII and fell in love with flying as a result of his town being bombed by fighter planes as a child, who then became a POW after he joined the Navy and got sent to Vietnam in 1966. I can't even begin to imagine the horror that man faced in his youth.

Worth a watch. Short, to the point, and unlike anything I've seen before.

Shadow Company (2006)

And intriguing look into the world of private military contractors and their involvement with the war in Iraq in the mid-2000s.

Worth a watch, only 50 minutes long.

Wild at Heart (1990)

Among the David Lynch films I've seen, this was easily the most straight forward and happy-ending-ish. It was not at all what I expected. Really enjoyed Nick Cage's performance, one of his better that I've seen.

Honestly though, I felt it relied too much on Lynch's love of The Wizard of Oz. It felt a little aimless or almost too damned straight forward to fall in with the rest of his films. I've got real mixed feelings about it. The overall plot seemed a bit boring to me as well. Hmph.

I watched "Reality" and "Wrong" the other day, from Quentin Dupieux, it's very absurd and delectable, fun af. Imma watch "Wrong Cops" from him next, it even got Marilyn Manson playing a teenage prostitute in it

Dream Decievers, about dudes who killed themself to Judas Priest music. Ain't making a joke but the one dude always reminds me of a muppets character when I've seen it. Edit, dude has a name Sweetums.

Lost in the Stars. It is an Asian Film, that got 100% by Critics and the 100% by the Audience, on Rotten Tomatoes.
It had an incredible ending; that I didn't anticipate at all. It was a very enjoyable film to watch. It was as one critic said, Hitchcockian or something like that. Great Film.

So did you see it Kiely? It is actually free on Daily Motion. Some English language French site that actually has good content.
