Hollywood-ised ending was unnecessary. Ben Afflick writing himself in as the hero..well...:p
Bad actor but good director though, as always.

^ Seven Samurai is my favourite film of all time. Has been since I watched it with my dad when I was little. I guarantee that the 3+ hours will fly by!


(And Toshiro Mifune is absolutely incredible in it!)
 
yeah ss is really great, and mifune (carrying a sword made to be used from a horse) is excellent.

i recall a line he says about how alcohol only makes him sharper.

Watched two movies yesterday. Started with:

Casino Royale (2006)



Had heard a lot of good things about this, but had never sat down to watch it. I thought it had gotten talked up quite a bit, so I didn't have high expectations for it. Definitely ended up enjoying it. Thought Daniel Craig made a good James Bond and thought it was a pretty cool movie. Bond movies usually seem to have more gadgets and stuff. They had some in this movie, but it didn't seem like as many as normal though I've only seen a few Bond movies. It'd be cool to go through all of them at some point.

Quiz Show (1994)



Really enjoyed this movie. Great acting, good pacing, and interesting story overall. Kind of surprised I don't hear about this movie more often and I never see it on TV. Glad I decided to watch it.

Tucker & Dale vs Evil (2010)

A comedy horror, but actually a really funny and enjoyable one! One of the best light-hearted films I have watched all year.

Tops its genre from what I've seen, but that isn't exactly difficult based on most 'spoof' films. Definitely recommend!

I had remembered seeing these posts back in August, and Netflix is always recommending this movie to me, so I decided to sit down and watch it. Agree with the posts above in quotes. For a comedy/horror spoof type movie it was quite funny and wasn't corny or stupid like other spoof type movies.

I had felt like watching a light movie and this delivered.
 
Yeah Tucker & Dale was great.

Watched Opening Night last night, another Cassavetes film. Didn't like it, much. (2 stars)

Over the top German comedy. Really outrages at times. Over the top. Haven't laughed that much In a long time. It's on Netflix. Highly recommended
 
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969)



Fun movie to watch. My mom has been mentioning it as a good older movie since I was a little kid and I've seen it referenced a lot of times on other movies and TV shows over the years. I always find it enjoyable to see something that I've seen referenced a bunch of times.
 
Watched Alex Cross last night - was good. Couple of terribly filmed fight scenes but overall was good 7/10. The closed beta of new game Akaneiro has opened for 2 months, and until now I didn't kill a single boss. Unfortunately, I must kill a boss to finish my quest. Any experienced player can help me?

Life of Pi. Go see it. It is amazing. (I have heard a few grumbles about the ending straying from the book but I read the book so long ago that I can't even remember the ending. I'm trying to borrow it again as the movie made me want to re-read it.)<3

watched this two nights ago. it sucked major dick, but eric bana is always entertaining to watch. he was the only saving grace that movie had. the rest was pure, awful shit.
