What's Good on European and African TV v. Walking the Dead

I've been at a bit of a loss since finishing Supernatural. I might rewatch Life on Mars, loved that show and can't remember most of it as I haven't seen it for years. Or I could go wild and try something new but that might be a bit too much excitement for me to take.

what season is that Dan? Ive seen all of S1 and the 2nd half of S2, very very stylish series, with substance and a great plot too.

That Cillain Murphy is doing well with those piercing blue eyes of his. Id last seen him as some bad boy runaway teen in something i cant recall the name of, but remember it being good.

Agreed, hes a wicked actor. On the last episode of season 1. peaky foooookin blinders

dan: yeah I enjoyed s1 of peaky blinders, netlflix dont have s2 yet tho. Sometimes i feel like netflix is good value for money and sometimes I feel like its got fuckall on it. I like stuff by Mike Leigh or Ken Loach, netflix is mostly shitty american cartoony crap tho.

Yeah i think the same, the american netflix has better stuff on it but changing the dns doesnt seem to work on my ps3 now. got rid of netflix awhile ago due to the lack of stuff. the only thing stopping me getting rid again is the random interesting documentaries

Check out prison break. the excitement of it all will be beyond anything you can ever dream to witness. some serious shit

Or maybe im just talking some shite

Daredevil was amazing, and Ive just started the secondhalf of Gotham now is been added to nf. Not as deep as daredevil but its deliciously violent in that unique potty way that Batman stories are usually handled.

For all fans of 'The Wire' - the series is now available in high definition on blu ray or as a free download from Sky until september. With a 16:9 aspect ratio (the original broadcast was in old school tv 4:3) and a superb hd transfer, there's never been a better time to re - visit the best television serial of all time

...For all fans of 'The Wire'...[/B]

OMG, I'm just waiting for winter PJs to watch the Wire all over again. I call my big cat Stringer Bell Joe, just because of his swagger n' attitude :D

Is it sad to want to watch it twice?

No, not sad at all. I just wish I'd waited a wee while longer as I watched it again last year. Not too fussed about HD and all that, anyway. Have you watched 'The Corner'? It was the forerunner to 'The Wire' but based on true testimony. It's strange seeing the same actors, in the same kind of setting, play completely different characters.

'The Corner' is amazing, and had me blarting by the end when Charles Dutton gets to interview the real family.

No. This hd session is my 3rd trip around the west side in 6 years. 3 times around the block is sad Koneko 8(

Phew..thankfully it's just not me who thinks about Primark fleece PJ's on the sofa for the Wire being a good thing to do in the winter :| Fuck I'll have to go to work to, how inconvenient :\. It's August and I'm already planning this :(

But it's the WIRE %)

Sounds like a date lads ;)

I must catch up on this Corner, why hasn't the man caught that...

Has anyone been watching the new serires of Rick and Morty? I need to catch up, the first series was awesome.

Definately not, its so packed with minute detail, and dozens of new characters that I spent most of S1 figuring out who the who hell was who. I'm also considering a re-watch as it must be 15 years since i first saw it. Only problem i that i know in advance the outcome of all the best tension building plot lines, like what fate will be-fall the major characters, (all of them). For that reason im not expecting to enjoy it so much on second viewing.

Christ, Im considering re-watching Breaking Bad, and it's only been a couple of years, if that, since i first saw it.

The Sopranos too, as i wasnt in the right frame of mind for most of that, i didnt get into it properly until season 6, or start liking any of the charcaters until the finale, which was absolutely fucking amazing.

NSFW:
The comfortably numb scene was one of the most spectacular, unexpected, and sad scenes i've seen in any tv series.

Maybe even GoT as i didnt get into that atall very much on first viewing. I think i have the 1st 4 seasons. Not even watched S4.

S5 of The Walking Dead will be available of DVD by the end of next month, that season has had some very good reviews, so Im looking forward to that immensly.

You seen The flash? marvel series

breaking bad is fucking depressing, i watch s1 & part of s2 years ago and recently watched the rest on netflix, it just becomes one long horror show and the ending wasn't very satisfying i thought.

i haven't seen The Wire or fucking Game of Thrones.

The Wire is definitely worth a watch, better than BB. It's not altogether cheery though..

Yeah mate worth a watch, i liked it more than daredevil. when it gets going its proper good

Its quite rare to find someone who wasnt bowled over by BB. It's been rated the best TV series ever, ahead of The Wire. Maybe that may be just because its more recent and fresh in more peoples memories, with more time there will be greater perspective as to whether BB really was better than The Wire. I cant argue that The Wire wasn't brilliant in every aspect, but maybe BB was much more quickly paced, always exciting and dramatic, great characters i though. The Wire did have some very slow epoisdes even if they did serve a purpose that would become clear later, yeah after watching The Wire i felt it was the best series ever, but then i felt the same after watching BB.

Breaking bad <3

Everything about that is a masterpiece, the amazing music used in it always springs to mind as well
