What's Good on European and African TV v. Walking the Dead

I'm hoping they're all going to get robobutchered in the finale, especially the mum and dad.
They are making a second season, so you may have to wait. :) Not watched the UK version yet, but I liked the Swedish original Äkta Människor/Real Humans. Gonna wait until the UK version has finished showing before watching.

They can't seriously be considering bringing that irritating shower over to the second series though.

They're all 2D and disposable, and apart from maybe the one that's 'good with computers and shit', there's no reason for any of them to carry on mixing with robots (assuming papa sleazebag has learnt his lesson)

I'm guessing they have changed a lot in the UK version then, as the family (especially the mother) is pretty integral to the story in the original. I hated her for the first half of the first series, but she redeems herself in ÄM.

Oh yeah they're integral to the plot and they're the bigggest human roles, but I just think they're not particularly interesting characters in themselves.

I would have thought the family had served its purpose in the story now their robot is conscious and no longer the family slave, but I still haven't seen the final, so that is just a guess.

Well i quite liked it myself (so far), with the blond psycho-robot and the koestler-quoting old geezer with dementia being the best characters. The woman from the IT crowd and the pig from ideal were a bit wooden though (maybe their familiarity from other roles didn't help). Don't know what series 2 could be about before seeing the last epsiode

Mr. Robot
Daredevil series
rick and morty (new series airing currently)
bobs burgers

People Just do nothing <--- bbc iplayer... so funny! Mockumentary of pirate radio crew. You won't be disappointed!

Anime: I'm watching 'death note' which so far is keeping my interest. :)

Me too, definitely -.I wouldn't bother griping otherwise. I just reckon they could have spent less time with the family, perhaps focusing on the interesting characters a little more - like explaining the slightly suspect relationship between the old guy and his synth. What sort of weird shit was going on in that house before that nurse showed up :sus:?

I know it's not on TV, but has anybody watched 'Bojack Horseman'?

Just finishing off the second series and it's better than the first (which I really liked, despite how dark it got towards the end). I think it's very smart and there's so much they can do with the human/humanoid animal universe. There's so many witty little Easter eggs scattered throughout for those with a keen eye.

It's kind of like what the Flintstones would have been if they made it for a more mature audience. I definitely recommend!

As for 'Humans' - I watched what was released when I first saw it mentioned here and I thought it was quite good. I forgot all about it until I came back to this thread. Not all of the episodes had been released then so I must go finish viewing.

yeah, bojack horseman is really good! i love how dark it is. a pilled up, alcoholic, has-been sitcom horse living with jesse pinkman (he's essentially a cartoon jessie from breaking bad, as well as the fact he's voiced by aaron paul). well worth a watch, to anyone who hasn't yet had the pleasure.

Watched a little bit of bojack horseman awhile ago, never got into it though, sounds good i might give it a proper go soon

I've just been rewatching the second series of Always Sunny. It's so good, if you somehow haven't watched it already, you should.

The final episode of S1 was broadcast last night on C4.

That's definitely the best way to view; watching episodes back to back. I didnt find out about it until epiosde 6, so watched them all over a weekend to catch up, and got pretty engrossed in it. With the 7 day wait for the 7th episode it didnt seem so good, as id lost the momentum of the show during the 7 day break. I've not seen the final epiosode yet, but pleased to hear they are making a 2nd series. Perhaps if viewer figures were pretty good they might start exploring the issues a little more deeply.

On episode 5 S2 of Penny Dreadful. Muchos gracias Bearlove ... can't thank you enough. Its my kinda series. I fucking love character based drama/action stuff.

Will finish the current season tonight so I need something else to obsess on for tomorrow, cuz I wish to remain comfortably numb, and in the absence of good drugs, good TV is all I got.

I really should go for a comedy ... I still haven't watched parks n rec, nor curb, nor sunny, and I know I'll probably love all 3, but I'm as morose as fuck atm, so it's probably best I indulge and take in something I'll be particularly receptive to.

I've been wanting to watch Carnivale for fucking ever. Someone badger me into giving it a shot please. With something more than a 'just watch it'.

Anyone seen it? I know I'm gonna love the fuck out of it but I need a little cheerleading into it first, pls?

ThnxinadvanceYo <3

(edit)

any other recommends to keep me entertained TVwise, greatly appreciated, thnx.Pref from someone with good taste, obv <3

No one watched 'people just do nothing' yet? Poor show. It's like the (UK) office but with rude boys n not in an office, heh.vIt's 2 series in...but airs on bb3 so I doubt many people caught it unless on iplayer.

BTW: Sunny in Philadelphia is amazing :)

Daredevil was great. Real gritty. (not film)

Watching 'the last ship' at the mo, could be good, could be shit. Probs latter... early days.

what season is that Dan? Ive seen all of S1 and the 2nd half of S2, very very stylish series, with substance and a great plot too.

That Cillain Murphy is doing well with those piercing blue eyes of his. Id last seen him as some bad boy runaway teen in something i cant recall the name of, but remember it being good.

just watched some of it on youtube, had me cracking up, proper funny, thanks.

dan: yeah I enjoyed s1 of peaky blinders, netlflix dont have s2 yet tho. Sometimes i feel like netflix is good value for money and sometimes I feel like its got fuckall on it. I like stuff by Mike Leigh or Ken Loach, netflix is mostly shitty american cartoony crap tho.

films i enjoyed recently on netflix - siberian education, happy go lucky, myn bala warriors of the steppe, pusher, the conformist (really good) and house of fools, which was awesome :

In the midst of the Chechen War, a remote psychiatric institution is left without staff leaving the patients to fend for themselves. Based on a true story.

^^^ ooooh, quoting thingamee sounds decent cheers. Will get the plebs (ie not-so-nerdboy) to download for me, tah.

My next TV forore, in the absence of better suggestions, is gonna be Boston Legal.

Day 10ish and 'Spaderment' is required. Boston Legal being as yet undiscovered by hormonal moi.
