What's Good on European and African TV v. Walking the Dead

cant see the show so cant comment on whats been said but ...
i dont know man... i find it hard to support vigilantes

British Art At War: Bomberg, Sickert & Nash

Excellent three-parter about British artists who directly experienced and responded to the first world war. The episodes (available on iPlayer for now but the first one goes bye-bye on Sunday, the others shortly afterwards) are actually in reverse order to the title and - perhaps- in reverse order of my fondness for them. Nash and Sickert I liked a lot - as artists and as people. Bomberg I liked as a person but wasn't so big on his art (early(ish) stuff was pretty good, didn't much go for the later stuff to be honest).

I Never Tell Anybody Anything: The Life & Art of Edward Burra

More Andrew Graham-Dixon (yeah, I know - is a BBC4 art documentrary so is always gonna be one of a fairly limited range who annoy a great majority I know) but on a rather different matter. This fella is an interesting character indeed and with some truly outstanding work.

The Ryan O'Reiily / Keller Manlove gave me ladyspasms every episode.

Same for the Ryan / Shrink ongoing tension.

Watched the whole 6 seasons in like 2 weeks or a month or something.

So many fucking awesome characters and a great script

Truthquoted.

I have never seen an episode of Downton Abbey.
I have never seen an entire episode of Friends
I have never watched an episode of the X factor and all the hundreds of other shite talent shows

Most TV is utter garbage atm. I mean, I love garbage, but it's my garbage, so it's still relatively acceptable, obviously ;p

Again.

Especially when they're obviously proper scumbags looking for a cheap thrill. Yes the people he caught were dodgy as fuck, but he was going onto over 18 websites and basically encouraging people to behave like paedos. One of them killed themselves. Bearing in mind these people might not have ever done anything wrong without his encouragement, it's not hard to see that he was the sickest fuck of the lot. Plus you could tell he got a right kick out of pretending to be a 13 year old girl.

That Paedohunter show looks so very, very wrong. I'm quite drawn to such things precisely because they are their own antithesis. I'd almost go as far as to say such people are worse than those they purport to "catch" (or "entice" (in a suspiciously paedoesque kinda stylee) and "entrap" (in a legally and morally dubious kinda stylee) as is generally described). Yes the people caught out are morons and most likely kinda scummy at best... but such people are also not likely to be the kinda "paedos" that are a real problem cos they are thick enough to be caught out by blatant and unsophisticate honeytraps. Such people do nothing but masturbate over sad (mostly) men who probably never got near a child cos they don't have the wherewithall. The day we applaud these kinda twats is the day society rolls over and gives up the ghost :|

Having said that, I do accept they can be entertaining all the same so will almost certainly watch it.

I've just started watching Black Mirror on Netflix.

It's meant to be about the darker side of technology, each episode being stand alone. Absolutely amazing the first episode...

NSFW:
A member of the royal family gets kidnapped & a ransom is given demanding that the PM has to fuck a pig on live TV. =D

anyone here seen Fringe? It was a pretty good show once the whole background rules and mythology were set in place and the characters established. Id recommend it to all lovers of scifi/action adventure.

Ahh black mirror is brilliant. written by charlie brooker if i remember correctly. excellent series, very imaginative

I didn't realise season 5 of boardwalk empire had begun. Loving it so far, but it's a little convenient how Nucky is back in his place again.

Yeah Charlie Brooker Dan, that's the one.

I really liked Fringe. I thought it lost it's way a bit in the 4th season though & unfortunately, only having 13 episodes for the last season made it seem like it was cut short... which I believe it was in one way or another. Highly underrated TV show.

Latest walking dead episode was good. probably one of my fave eps so far

you havent seen battlestar gallactica?
ha! prepare to surrender your next couple of weeks...

good show ideed

I'm LOVING the new Dallas. It's accccccce! Mind you it's funny too cause they're all backstabbing each other n something's always going. It's bloody ace tho. Anyone been watching it???

Wentworth was ace last night. I loving the governor. She's a bad un. But I like her. I love the Bea Smith in this one. She's gorgeous - stunning vibrant, red, curling hair n the Frankie in this one is HOT as hell.
