What'd you do to get off your butt today? v. "That's not real exercise!"

chopped some mother f'ing stump into oblivious yesterday-- didn't get the whole thing, so that'll probably be my exercise for today. might go running too...

ran 4.4 miles downhill, to the lake, swam, then ran maybe 3 miles up a fucking brutal hill, and walked the remaining 1.4 miles...

Went for a walk with my dogs that turned into a run/jog for not very far 'til one of the dogs started to tire and lag behind. I am most definitely going to have to get a pair of running shoes Vibram Five Fingers and learn how to run properly. :P

^ Are dogs on a leash typically allowed on a track or would that be frowned upon? Not to mention this would entail me having to drive to a track versus just running down the road. :P

And not to mention the closest track is the local high school's... Aside from there, there's not one for many miles.

Don't listen to him. :P I don't think he knows how bad WNY is on having rocks (and glass, ugh) on the local streets. Driving so that way you can run is a pointless option, in my mind. And when you can't make it by jogging, it means you need running shoes.

Honestly, I think I might try a cheap pair of flat / thin shoes (like knockoff Pumas) for my next pair of running shoes. $80+ is a lot to spend for running shoes, even though the quality is excellent.

having lived in western upstate new york for ~25 years... well, you get the point. :)

I took the day off work today. Said I was sick but really feel the best I have in the past 9 days!
Going hiking (7.4 miles) with the dog before it reaches into the 90's today.
We are both overdue!

Yeah I ended up choosing a closer hike and did 5 miles in about 1 hour 45 min.
It is super humid out and I was grateful for the cloud cover.
I was dripping with sweat within 30 minutes.
Feels good.

4 miles run in the hilly gorge. thought about swimming in the lake, but the water seemed to drop 10 degrees overnight...

Went to a practical shooting range for some shooting. People laughed for the size of my gun and told me to go in to kiddies range with that. Grinned to them and started shooting and looked at their impressions after I actually broke one of the targets with it.

There seems to be totally misinformed people who think that the bigger the actual gun is the more powerful the bullet is.

I <3 my lil Glock G36C that fits to a pocket of jeans if must. It is just like my dick, small but has a lot of power and I need how to use both.

Too bad I cant get another one as stupid politicians decided that they will not give anymore licences to a pocketpistols after the schoolshooting here and there were even no pocketpistols involved in that shooting.

Did some sparring at MMA club too. I am hoping to get my back fixed soon so I can start doing weightlifting and cardio more than I now can but I need to wait 6 months after surgery to get myself into a training phase I had before my injury. I also have decided that my ultimate goal is to get back in the cage and last 3x5min there.

Too bad it will take that waiting time for surgery + 6 months of waiting after that and maybe another 6 months of exercise of my back before the back muscles are at the shape I can get back in to a fully training phase to exercise all the muscle groups in a balanced way and gain the muscle mass to be able to do something proper in the ring and that might take a year.

Then there is also the training part for explosive power to get my hits and kicks in to efficiantblevel so I just dont have to rely my wrestling skills to choke or lock the opponent.

So in a total it might take two to three years but that is my long term goal and I will give myself a treat if I manage to do it. A trip to Thailand for myself, my soon to be wife and a possible child.

2 mile run - Pain free :)
& about 30 minutes of physical therapy

I did a couple muscleups and a set of dips on the playground yesterday, so no need for strength training today.

I can't wait to ramp up the intensity of my cardio, too bad it has to be approached cautiously.

I had 15 min to kill before a 45 min spinning class.
I did 3 sets of 10...overhead press, bicep curls, chest press, and skull crushers.

Spinning was tough to breathe with a nose full of snot.

took the last two days off because of some lingering pain; but, it was so nice, I drove down to the lake and went for a quick swim. tomorrow will be some cliff jumping (provided it isn't storming all day), and a five mile run home.

^ We have some nature sites around my area, but nothing that extensive. I'd be taken away by the current! D:

Went for an ~two mile hike yesterday. I can't stand not riding my bike anymore; I'm stealing my brother's bike for a nice long spin. It's a piece of shit, but it's better than watching my beloved thigh muscles shrink from lack of use the past few weeks.
