Cooked a brilliant stir fry this morning.

Thai rice with broccoli, shitake mushrooms, bamboo shots, cabbage, pak choi, carrots and tofu.

I first diced the tofu and marinated it in Teriyaky sauce for a couple of hours. Heat some oilve oil in a pan and threw the tofu in there. Then added the chopped vegetables. I then added Oyster sauce and dark soy sauce. Cooked for a bit until it was ready, then served with rice. I made a lot so I have some for when I get back from the pub later on.

Sounded OK until you mentioned tofu. Rank.

Just finished some bacon on toast, wish I'd made some more actually. Might have some soup in a minute. The soup I ate yesterday and thought was potato and leek turned out to be apple and cider soup or something, my tasted buds must be shit. I did think it seemed a bit sweet but I just assumed that because it looked like tattie and leak it must be.

Sounds awful.

Have had a spezzatino di manzo in the the slow cooker all day hehe basically an Italian beef stew. Serving with polenta n runner beans from the garden.

Man has requested an apple sponge pud n custard for afters. Not made that yet but have recipe open...any suggestions to make this simple pud more interesting
 
you ever had beetroot crisps Dan? I like beetroot. i like crisps. beetroot crisps are fucking rank though. might go well with sardines and a sprout or something.

Sprout season is upon us again already anyway, happy fucking days sproutfans %)

Think it'll be left over lamb curry with some rice and onion chutney for me tonight.

Fat bastard mode today. Burger King for lunch, had the king of the day meal not even sure what it was tbh. Was OK. I haven't been to BK for about a year at least, have BK's 'fries' always been big thick cut ones or did they not used to be pretty similar to McDonalds, i.e. super thin just more crispy? The ones I had today were really thick and not the way I remember them, there was maybe about 7 or 8 in a medium sized packet and that was enough to fill it.

Wasn't going to have any tea but came home to find pizza and garlic bread in the oven so couldn't refuse, ate a ton of salad, beetroot, coleslaw, pickled onions too.

Healthy eating tomorrow.
 
I don't like Burger king. My missis does.

We've just had roast chicken, with roast taters, some runner beans from the allotment, some steamed shredded chard leaves, and sauteed the chard stems thinly sliced with leeks in butter.

very fucking nice.
 
I'd rather have a McDonalds MailMonkey, at least they don't pretend they aren't absolute shit. BK pretends they make good burgers with their claims it's REAL meat and flame grilled. Still tastes like a cheap, pishy, burger just a bit more expensive than Maccy Dees.
 
Hmm I'm not fond of takeaway burgers, less I'm in a real pickle, like once with a bad hangover and comedown in Bahrain airport. Then it was just about acceptable sustenance. Just :sus:

Had leftover Italian beef and veg stew here with some crusty tiger bread. Tasted even better on day 2.

(ps food re-heated until piping hot lol ;))

Fancy something sweet but pretty stuffed.
 
Bit of a strange tea. Pasta bake / quiche combo with rice covered in soy sauce and sweet chilli sauce, some beetroot and pickled onions on the side. Very ColtDan-esque.
