What You Listening To You Crazy FOOOOOO!!!

I am listening to the soft sighs of whoring on BL escaping my fngertips which are inserted into a cup of bird porn tea. Ahhh, look how much sugar I have ingested! I am a worsmith! I speak the language of a million designers. Bauhaus, golden mean... I can speak many more words that make up this special language I have acquired while having designs on myself. I draw the tickets up evenly and place them on my elbows. Anyone can take one, they are free. Notice the boarder ? Thats what us designers do. We listen to the fingers being inserted into cups of bird porn while high on sugar, high on whores.

I had a series of revelations on the weekend... one was that Jesus was a candy donkey enslaved under my bed... the other is that I'm going to be okay. For serious.

Strangest timing... something at work this afternoon compelled me to dig up this song. It's always been my favourite by Silverchair, for Daniel Johns' beautiful falsetto and it's wonderful melody. I never paid much attention to the lyrics until just now.

SILVERCHAIR
After All These Years

Breathe in the night
That crusted tired sunrise
Born again the day
Brings young naivety

A laptop souvenir is worth the weight
In silver a golden son
You'll be home again
And I'll be home again

Mend in my sleep
I'm boxing under water
Waddle on the wake
Waking on the summer day (a summer day)

After all these years
Forget about all the troubled times
And after all these years
Forget about all the troubled times

And every father's pain
Casts a shadow over a broken son
You'll be whole again
And I'll be whole again

Munificent, artless and ascetic
Playing like a scared
Enthusiastic pawn

After all these years
Forget about all the troubled times
And after all these years
Forget about all the troubled times ( the troubled times )

All those years
I was hurting to feel
Something more than life

All those years
After all these years
Forget about all the troubled times
And after all these years
Forget about all the troubled times ( the troubled times )

All those years
I was hurting to feel
Something more than life

I don't think I stand a chance of growing up for at least two years. I try not to post too much National in this thread because I listen to them much more than anyone else needs to read about.

The National - Slow Dance

I wanna hurry home to you
put on a slow, dumb show for you
and crack you up
so you can put a blue ribbon on my brain
god I’m very, very frightening
I’ll overdo it

You know I dreamed about you
for twenty-nine years before I saw you
You know I dreamed about you
I missed you for
for twenty-nine years

L'arc En Ciel - Forbidden Lover
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ys0fZl3gGv8

L'arc En Ciel is one of the most popular bands today in Japan, especially amongst a lot of goth kids who have followed them since their visual kei (a cross between hair metal, new romanticism and 'goth') days back in the early 90s.

This track is from their mainstream breakthrough ark in 1999. Hyde's voice is so expressive and prominent while the rest of the band is beyond technically proficient yet understated. Always chills me out.

3T - Anything. This song reminds me of pining over the year 12 boys when I was in year... 9? The best thing is that I get to sing this song outloud and serranade myself!

I WILL DO ANYTHING FOR YOU MEL, ANYTHING !!!!!!

How the shit do you find this stuff Preachizzle? It's crazy. Love the clip though!

I'm listening to the new Evermore stuff. I came across their new press pics today and thought they were a pisstake, but then found them on their actual myspace.

Drake - Houstatlantavegas
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYazkrF2xn8

If it wasn't portraying the stereotypical stripper as a damsel in distress, this track would be played throughout all PPs, MGs and any other 2-letter abbreviated establishment where females get paid in laminated strips.

I've been spending too much time on gnoosic.com recently but it's so much fun!

Currently listening to Klub des Looser - Booker which gnoosic recommended after I said I liked the black kids, CSS and something else I can't remember.

Anyway, they're a french group and this song sounds a bit like The Go! Team.

The Beatles - Tell Me Why

I had to do a little last minute cleaning before our apartment inspection today and I find The Beatles are my favourite cleaning music, especially Hard Day's Night. It's so cheerful and makes me feel like a 1960s housewife. Win.

Glasvegas - Flowers and football tops

Another gnoosic recommendation, and I'm liking them a lot. According to their myspace they're supporting KoL on their tour of England, too. Sometimes I hate the fact Australia is 200 light years from the UK and US.

A great example of what drugs do to young rock stars ;)

Mayer Hawthorne - Just ain't gonna work out

My friend linked be to this guy on my FB with the spruiking power of 'he's young and white.' Normally this guy is spot on when telling me what to listen to, this time not so much, but I can see why he loves it.

Kind funk, kinda blues, I guess. Interesting nonetheless.

I had one of those - OMFG I'M SO OLD - moments last night when my friend said, 'Do you think this is reggaeton?' and I said, 'Reggae what the fuck now?' So I'm doing some investigating.

Don Omar - Blue Zone

If anyone knows anything about this genre, and has any other suggestions, let me know, because I'm liking the few artists I've heard so far. It's so hard to keep up with the kids of today.

Listening to Skunkhour - Breathing Through My eyes. If I was more into straight up alternative I could probably think of some useful descriptive words to sum this shit up. Kind of reminds me a little of DefFX. I wish I was older in the 90s to appreciate all the cool things that were going on in Aus. music before all this shit disappeared.

^ That was one of the bands around in '92, '93 when JJJ first went national. Cool band :)

DJ Xplane - Blendin' mixtape

I haven't downloaded any pirate music in years and years, I just don't agree with it. However, I still find tonnes of awesome music that is made free and available by the artist. This is one of those gems :)

Dr Dre
50 Cent
Black Eyed peas
Nelly
Missy Elliot
(just some of the people appearing on this mix)
