The Kooks - See The Sun

Konk is one of the best albums I've heard in a while. It reminds me of the Arctic Monkeys but with more melody and better lyrics.
 
^ It's always been kooks > monkeys. Always. Inside/ Outside will always remind me of my 20s. That being said, I bet hoptis looks good on the dancefloor.

Van She - Kelly

I don't care what this says about me or my musical tastes, fuck this was a fun gig with fun people. I'm going to force my children to listen to V and try and imagine the noughts.

Falls Festival + Penguina + no showers + rain + ponchos + whatever-the-fuck-those-italian-things-we-ate-every-day-were + ferris wheels + everything else that goes with a three day mud-fest festival.

Listening to Gallows. The track doesn't matter. Every now and then a band comes along that binds everything you love about music into one. There's Sex Pistols sneer, there's Chumbawama quotes, there's Black Flag violence and it all retains a sense of modern urgency. A fucking plus and them some.
 
Everlong is one of my favourite love songs of all time. :)

Gallows are just a shitty version of Every Time I Die. I don't get the hype.

Drone metal side project of two members from Converge.
 
My Dying Bride's New album - For Lies I Sire

It's a good album. Has some moments in there that remind me of the pure deathly sludge goth metal that was Turn Loose the Swans.

I like to listen to it before bed.

I recommend.
 
Bon Iver - Woods

I must be a sucker for autotune, because this is bound to be one of my top ten songs of 2009.

It feels like a successor to Imogen Heap's "Hide & Seek", as far as 'indie' artists using nothing except for their own distorted vocals as accompaniment.
 
Hot Chip - Made In The Dark

The whole album is on high rotation but I love the softer songs with Alexis on vocals.
 
First Blood - Conspiracy

Rambo-themed brocore band?
Siqq breakdowns?
Cheesy as shit, but it gets me ridiculously amped.
