Two different sides to Mercury Rev ... both perfect.

..... first one is as trippy and lush as they get and a perfect backdrop to listen to while on acid (given the random half sense making, half nonsense lyrics, it can't not have been written while tripping)... reminds me of reading 93 cos i played the album to death on the way there (Boces, or Yerself is Steam? Can't remember) ... anyway ...

and later on .... atmospheric and never gets boring to me ... the whole album is a classic, imo.

.... I like the beatles. was brought up on 'em from being a youngun. Mainly just the red album but it was a good intro. Apparently Nowhere Man was the only thing that would calm me down when I went into hysterical terror after waking up one night at 6 yrs old and my bro let me sit watching an old horror film, where in one scene there was a man buried alive and all you could see was his eyes peering out of the ground. I also used to shout and sing, She Loves You, noisily when going for a wee for some reason. Dunno why that came about.

Fave tracks for me are Here, there and Everywhere, and Revolution
