Choooooonz. Nice to see some Kinks love from somebody other than me. :)

I read Ray's second autobiography recently. Deeply troubled and disturbed guy. Still has imaginary friends too.

The Kinks are one seriously overlooked and underrated band imo. The hard blues harmonica stuff they were knocking out in the early 60's takes some beating...

Nice :) have you had a listen to those new zeppelin reissues?

Saw godsmack live when I was 14 or something - they were supporting an equally shit band IIRC.

Been thinking about those Zep reissues - desperate to hear one just to confirm what critics have been saying about the crispness of the sound.

When I got into Zep, you could either buy second-hand vinyl, buy a (then) newly-remastered CD for the best part of £20, or buy a second-hand '80s-era CD copy for a fiver or so.

The vinyl was often shitty floppy-plastic eighties reissues, whereas the second-hand eighties CDs sounded SHOCKING. So I bought all the nineties remasters, which sounded better, but obviously technology has moved on.

It's not a racket either - I bought the restored LAMF by the Heartbreakers (one of three copies I own) and it blows every other version out of the water. Like a different album.

Nah not had a listen whoremoaning

Check out jimmy pages moves at 0:48 secs on this... what a legend
Led Zeppelin - Whole Lotta Love - Live

Apparently he was on coke throughout led zep, how did his ticker put up with that amount of abuse. tis a shame when he got on the smack his playing ended up so sloppy. would have loved being a stimmed up 70s rocker

Wicked haven't seen that before, gonna give it a watch

Saw a clip of them being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 by areosmith... 1995? by areosmith. i dunno much about the rock and roll hall of fame or whatever but that seems like a bit of a piss take

How the fuck does a sixty-year-old guy suddenly exceed his own legacy and create the best music of his career?

Swans (feat. St Vincent) - Kirsten Supine

This sounds innocuous enough, but will stay in your head for days and days. Apparently Annie Clark (St Vincent) sang for six hours in the studio without hitting a single bum note. That's astounding.

She's also the best-looking woman in music at this moment in time, and she's evidently mental too. I think I'm in love. <3

I now fully appreciate what is meant by a wall of words. %)

But yes, Dan is right, get some help FG. (the shadow people don't count) <3
