What the dumbest thing a drug-counsellor ever told you?

Some drugs, in high doses, will destroy nervecells in your brains.
My teachers where very honest during my own education, so i don't have anything to add here.
 
8th grade health class, the teacher showed us a big poster of "you brain on _____" and it showed like a deformed brain, she then went on to explain that the only reason drugs are psychoactive is because they each deplete oxygen from a different part of your brain
i protested, and was told to "wait outside, because i was disturbing everyones learning process"

I was told that all pot is laced with crack, that anybody who ever sold even a nickelbag of pot would cover it in crack, so you will become addicted.
 
I was told by my aunt who is also a doctor that weed is worse for you than alcohol and that she learned this in medical school. I told her that whatever professor told her that is an idiot or a flat out liar. Wasn't too happy with me after that.

I was once told ar a dare assembly in junior high that the speakjers freind did PCP and never stopped tripping and is in the psych ward thinking its still 1985.

He prob stopped tripping, but it's possible for it to mess up your head, to belive your in the same year for the rest of your life. Meth can also do this.
 
^ Were they talking about drinking, or getting drunk? Because I'm not sure if much damage would result from a small drink. But don't hold me to that.
 
When I went to court I had to speak to a drugs councelor, I had to list all the drugs I'd taken and something came up about mushrooms and she told me they can mess you up bad because of all the LSD in them.

I just nodded and agreed, she was what stopped me from going to prison so I wernt gonna have a full blown arguement, at the same time thought this woman is responsible got getting junkies clean :s
 
In my health book, I was reading that a main danger associated with codeine use was "risk of HIV due to sharing needles." I busted out laughing in the middle of class. A few chapters later, it said that a common danger of LSD was death.
 
One counselor/ teacher or whatever said that cannabis can kill you the first time you smoke it. That weed/hash is a very strong hallucinogen and that one joint of very strong weed such as the stuff from BC is the same as taking a hit of LSD. What a fucking crock of shit. I can't remember how many times i heard that one.

The other myth they frequently told was that weed was often laced with PCP and that people on PCP think they can fly and end up jumping out of windows and off bridges. After actually trying PCP once (im pretty sure thats what the crap was) the last thing i thought i could do was fly. Getting off the floor was a very hard thing to do :\ .

The stupidest shit I ever heard from this lady at a so-called "Drug education class" for probation. She said that "marijuana these days is so potent that it can be just as addictive as heroin/coke/meth".

She said that with a straight face, I was like wtf with my facial expression but I didn't say anything to start shit.. It was irritating.. I was the only person there for anything besides weed or alcohol, cause it was mostly for misdemeanor chrages and i got popped with a needle not auctual heroin.. all these 18-20 pot head kids looked at me like i was an alien when I said my DOC was heroin..
