Groove would be my first Fav drug movie, just the whole first time, rave and drug.. and the last track of the night has a how meaning to life sort of feeling..

Human Traffic- Bloody pisser! This film is such a great insight for ppl who dont do drugs to see what is partly all about..

Sample People- It's not a great Film, I just like parts of it eg.. fat arse joints and glowing pills, freaks.. haha but its not the best.

Tits, I just hired GROOVE so if it's shit I blame you.

And so I watched it...
Hmmmmmmm.
If you look past ALL the cliches, and it is packed with them (Shit, it's a sony flim for god sakes), it does a decent job of illustrating the life of the STEREOTYPE 'raver'.
It's okay as a 'feel good film', but is of no comparision to others within the broad spectrum that is 'Drug-Related Movies'.
=D
And To This...

* shakes head*

too many over rated hollywood crap here. :\

I strongly recommend you to hunt down this CLASSIC "drug related themed movie" :D

its's called "Nunsploitation" (The Killer Nun) made in 1978.

from this site

This former video nasty, and classic slice of 'Nunsploitation' features Warhol star Joe Dallesandro and La Dolce Vita star Anita Ekberg as Sister Gertrude, a man-hating Mother Superior. Includes morphine addiction, murder, lesbianism, and some dodgy necro gropings in the morgue.

This is a great sick movie to watch while on acid and see acid newbies facial expressions when they watch this classic Italian clip from 1978. Its a interesting fact according to this site that the star, Joe Dallesandro is one of Andy Warhol's favourite actors and a regular in 70s horror movies.

This is a great movie, for its style I mean. :D

Cheers,

Urbie %)

Fear and loathing definatively. The amount of drugs they do in that movie is beyond me.

I love Spun for the directing and cinematogroaphy. The plot is great too and you can really get into it and you realise how well it depicts tweakers.

The films I feel best portray drug experiences authentically are Human Traffic, for E, and I cannot help but feel drawn to ridiculous psychadelic excess when watching fear and loathing.
Our Johnny shows in his performance that he has done his research well! ;)

From a magazine article,
I think in Rolling Stone -
I read that HST invited JD on
a book signing tour he was doin'.
Johnny wanted some time to
'emulate character'.
HST locked them
in a hotel room for 4-5 days,
without coming out.

They went to his bunker-farm and fired explosives.

Funny Shit.
