What is your favourite Drug related movie Ever?

hey all, pretty new here so gday

my fav drug movie would have to be Fear And Loathing In Last Vegas

i don't think any movie has captured a big drug binge anywhere near as well. from the hallucinations to the bath tub scene or waking up in a knee deep pool of pond scum with a dinosour tail strapped on and a dictaphone sticky taped to his head.

that movie will definately make you want to take acid, haha

Here's mine:-

1.True Romance - NOT just lots of violence but majorly about stealing drugs, trying to sell drugs and taking drugs.Brad Pitt's character is a HUGE stoner.Stoned in every scene.Great cast and movie.
2.Trainspotting - Choose Life,Choose heroin,I chose NOT to chose heroin.I chose life. Also, shows the dangers of hard drinking.
3.Pulp Fiction - O.D.ing NEVER looked so bad,so close up.
4.Friday - Smokey loved to smoke, and smoke and smoke.............
5.Human traffic - Shows you can actually take illegal party drugs and SHOCK horror and NOT die.Eg: 'One Perfect Day'- "Just say no drug message,I mean movie.

Just missed out:-

6.Killing Zoe - Taking that many drugs the night before a robbery, is NOT a good idea.
7.How High - Weed world at college.Method Man & Red Man are funny.
8.Half Baked - Stoners delight.
9.Go - Go with the flow, but don't mess with the pill yo!

Also,'Cheetch & Chong' movies

:D .

One Perfect Day was absolutely fucking amazing! :D

but i have to say, before anyone has a rant about how it was negative, that it wasnt *about* drugs...that was just a feature of the narrative.

and in my opinion, it didnt cast a negative light on the party scene...or on drug use in general

but ill stop now could go on for ages about how the movie had a *positive* message, rather than the one everyone got upset about. (which was so frustrating...it made me sad for the people who made it)

anyway. NO OTHER MOVIE COMPETES!!!!

:p so ner

*bump*

Although only 'technically' a drug movie" leaving las vegas
Nicholas Cage finding a weird kind of hope by letting go of everything and setting out to kill himself through drinking.

alice in wonderland..

affected me badly as a kid, and probably explains things such as my occasional freaks out on acid, especially when going tripping in the pancake parlour.... (highly advise everyone NOT to try that one..)

"Tough Guys Don't Dance" would have to be up here, although drugs are not the total focus. It's an old Norman Mailer movie (87) set in Provincetown, packed with good drama with a few rather freaky scenes thrown in.

Stars Ryan O Neal as a dope grower, and the beautiful Isabella Rossellini as his ex, and the cop's wife.

i was SO confused reading all this stuff that I forgot what thread I was reading :\. I was wondering why everyone was talking about me :(

just to have it on record, my name was never intended as a drug reference.

I would like to watch mary poppins while intoxicated though. Bert is clearly her dealer ;)

Really!?

I assumed it was some play on Merry (pill) poping.
Like 'Trip Trivolta' or 'Peter Popper'

Fear and Loathing and Spun, I can relate to both in totally different ways, actually I've been in both frames of mind before. Particularly F&L right down to the ending at the cafe (not so much holding up a cafe for a meringue pie) but definitely in a weird cafe in fuck knows where after a 3+ day bender

human traffic is a classic, one that i think should be on everyone's favourites list. Also trainspotting. I love One Perfect Day- it makes me cry everytime. Requiem i have watched once and refuse to ever watch again. Formula 51,great movie, thats where my signature comes from

as much as i know many people hated one perfect day, i really liked it for that main charatcers enthusiasm and love for music.
i ignored the drug scenes because they fooked them up more than just a wee bit.

the special features bit on blow is cool.

maria full of grace, highly recommend.

human traffic bores me these days even though i won the dvd.

off topic, i hired out 21 grams thinking it was going to be cool and about drugs, what a shit, boring, depressing movie.
