Do you have a lot of experience with opioids? I used to say the same thing until I got into a routine, the more and more dependent I became the more and more I started to notice the euphoria. But I mean we are talking a period of 10+ years from the first time I took an opioid to when I got to this point. Why did I take them if I didn't get any positive effects? good question....
I have a chronic pain condition and have used them since I was young. I am dependant but I do take tolerance breaks a lot in order to give myself something to use when I’m like 60. I have dislocations of joints and have fent lollies for severe ones, like clavicle or rib dislocations, they are very painful.

I’ve never got anything out of opioids/opiates. I metabolise them far to fast. I also have metabolism issues with anaesthesia. I have a few weird gene mutations that have connection to my condition which is called Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.

I don’t get any rush or euphoria whatsoever from opioids/opiates. It’s due to my metabolism. But the best painkiller I’ve had is fentanyl, it does make me super nauseous though in high doses. The lollies are the best though when I’m in enough pain to warrant them.
The nausea from high dose opiates can be pretty bad. I can't count the number of times I've projectile vomitted after moving around too much or smoking on Heroin.

I was 21 when I first tried it and still remember having to run to the nearest sink to expel my undigested dinner, feeling like complete garbage and telling myself I wouldn't do anymore.

Cue 14 years later...

ooh ehlers-danlos, a wildly unpredictable condition which is an absolute bitch for some I have met with it, can be very taxing to say the least

in my head I don't 'like' opiates

I do take low dose morphine on/off for pain and havve done for a decade, with a similar eye on future effectiveness similar to Diz

Have to 'admit' however that have recently thoroughly enjoyed the odd 20mg ir oxy, and the occasional raw opium brew - have successfully kept that particular semi recreational/semi medicinal type dosing to once every 3 weeks (at least 3 weeks) for over a year now, and it's a timeframe I don't intend to let slip...

Yeah I have pretty strong anti emetics now. It’s not like there’s much in my stomach to throw up but there’s nothing worse than dry retching! 🤮

I've always wanted to try the lollipops. All I've gotten were patches.

In my case, the nausea has always been my indicator of a good high.

I feel ya. I'm in Tampa and it's almost impossible not to stumble upon a connect. At least that's how it was.
Yep. I hear Florida was once known as "oxycontin highway" or "doctor-shop central". But I'm from southern Oklahoma/north Texas, so us southerners have no room to talk as far as an overabundance of pharmaceuticals goes. Haha.

Oxy used to give nausea as a teenager, but not in a long long time. Meth never really gave me nausea either, but coke can sometimes. and mushrooms. And alcohol obviously :p
Opiates and alcohol only make me nauseous if I take a high dose or overdrink. For me, that's around 100mcg of fentanyl, 200mg of oxy, or 300mg of morphine and if i have more than 4 shots of bourbon back-to-back.
