I showed her a shpongletron experience video and she wasn't feeling the female dancers and asked why there wasn't any real singing.

lol, that sounds like something someone who isn't into EDM would say. I've had some similar experiences.

My mother loves vocal trance, she seriously asked for the name of the song when she heard "Find Yourself" blasting from my speakers

My dad thinks my dubstep/more bass heavy trance songs are all the same time.

I played a 3 hour playlist of trance and my dad said "What the hell are you playing the same exact song for so many hours for?"
