What Are You Munching On? V2. Stimulants, pizza and Gatorade

Lunch today consisted of Baxter's Tomato & Parmesan soup wiv lomticks of wholemeal bread for the dunking. Soup's on offer for 47p a can at the moment and it's bloody lovely I must say.

Dins consisted of not-kedgeree. Couple finely-chopped onions, finely chopped ginger and garlic, chilli and bell peppers, few chunks of salami, cold leftover rice, decent quality curry powder, paprika, black pepper, lemon juice, Worcestershire Sauce, a small tin of garlic and chilli "infused" tuna and scrambly-eggy-omelettey thing made with the milk used to poach the smoked haddock. Really rather good.

Sounds good Shambles. If you don't mind me saying sometimes I think you "over egg" a recipe. Ie; add too many ingredients when sometimes simple and pure and cooking skills make ingredients sing and flavours stand out.

Saying that I've teriyaki-ied' a nice salmon side which I'll grill. I'll serve that on top of an edamame, sugar-snap pea and coriander salad. Soy and lemon dressing.

The man will have new baby potatoes. Let's face it I'll have few too..
 
Nice one on working out a little shambles. I bet you will feel better for it. A lot of people would feel a lot better and mentally more sharp if they did more exercise

I've come up with a system now, I do weights specific to a certain area of the body ie legs, for 40-50minutes, then afterwards I'll do 6 minutes of 30 second rounds of jumping burpee press ups, high knees, and leg raises, repeat that a few times Til I'm done for. If you can train even 3 days a week and just even eat semi cleanly you definitely see results. The 6 minute cardio at the end will burn fat around the abs.

Unfortunately I go through phases of moping around, not feeling well and smoking too much dope which of course leads to eating too much junk food.... But you don't want to take it all so serious it drives you mad is my take on it. Try dieting for a week no treats and you soon start to feel angry and pissed off :@
 
I had a breakfast bar today. I think i'll have a pizza later.

Meanwhile, in the land of normality it's breakfast time. I'm having muesli ( tropical ) topped with a multivitamin yogurt drink ( cranberry and raspberry ) A banana and some diluting juice. Healthy but really tasty.

For once i actually followed a recipe for a full dish wish is something i rarely do at home but it is one from a book of one of my favourite restaurants (owned by someone i used to work for at one of their other restaurants). It is titled in the book as 'fillet of cod with hand-rolled parsley farfalle, girolles, tomato, garlic and thyme'. I had to make it without the girolles because we are still about a month away from the season (although i am in one of if not the best place in the world for them when it does arrive). The main conponments are the parsley farfalle, thyme butter, tomato fondue, shallot stock and a garlic veloute. It was very nice and outside of the making of the parsley farfalle there's not an insane amount of work to be done even though it is a restaurant dish so i will do it again properly when the girolles are here for sure.

It was delicious, you've just got food envy xx I had a tasty Blini and you had baked eggs. TBF though the second pic of yours looked absolutely delicious. Hmmmm Can Raas cook?!?!?! =D
 
Smoked chicken on a soft seeded roll with slivers of red Leicester and bavarian smoked cheese some slices of vine ripened tomatoes, a bit of salad cream and thinly sliced onion.

Technically this is my breakfast. Despite being up at 7Am I've not eaten yet. Well worth the wait.
