Just munched a smoked haddock fishcake wivva melty cheddar middle wiv ham (needs using up) and peri-peri mayo inna nice soft bap. Was bloody gorgeous. Those "Truly Irrisitable" fishcakes are a tad pricey but was reduced so grabbed a couple. Yum <3

Just snarfled this. Double bean burger, with mayo, melted cheese, salad, ketchup. Was yum

That looks well decent Marmz :)

Getting right into bean-thang-dinners here, top favourite is my bean enchiladas, the man loves them. Big surprise that.

We ate out tonight I had a huge mixed nut and fruit salad with chunky tattie wedges and garlicy mayo - was plain good pub food, the pub bit was great too:D

Our move has given us pubs, bars, places to eat out, cinema, theatre and:D galleries on oor doorstep =D It's all a bit like xmas right now haha

Happy new House Kate :) sounds great. Just watch your outgoings sky rocket ;) I hardly ever order salad when I eat out, I can't see past the horrendous mark up.

I had 2 x McD's cheeseburgers this evening on the way home. £1.98 to be reminded how much like crap they taste and how shit it makes you feel after eating it, I threw half the second one out the window. I never learn.

Macdonalds is only ever vaguely pleasant when you're so hungry you could chew your own arm off. Any less of an appetite and its rank.

Goddamn, major food envy here. Nice work.

I reckons I'm gonna have a bacon, cheese, egg, and hash brown sarnie. Though depends on availability of ingredients. But in my ideal world, that is what I am having :D

Pistachios and wine. nom nom nom :D

edit: had some of this earlier: "Roast Gressingham duck breast with sweet potato, roast beetroot and herb salad with chilli and mango vinaigrette" was delish!

Now having some Club biscuits, one orange, one fruit and one honeycomb :D

^ you went to M&S the same time you went to John Lewis, admit it:)

I've felt ill all evening, I'm hungry but as soon as I think of getting food I lose my appetite. I don't think I'll be able to sleep on an empty stomach so I either make some scrambled eggs, choke down some dorritos or eat an orange.

£2.50 for 4 sorry looking clemantines in Co-Op, I thought Co-Op was great 4 years ago but going off them rapidly.

I dream of the day i can afford to shop in places like JL and M&S.

Co-Op here is full o' Gressingham duck at the moment. Haven't tried it yet as is a tad pricey. Seen it properly cheap when reduced though and am very partial to a bit o' quacker. Is the Gressingham variety any real difference to whatever standard ducky stuff is?

Just munched a chickeny thingy with ham inna bun. All need using up. Was pretty tasts for a munchy thing considering.

Also, I need to cook summat with this marinated chicked I have. Think they're fillets cos too thin for breast. Spicy marinade. Look tasty but will probably end up just frying 'em up a bit and dousing with some kinda curry sauce. Not really got much to go with plain grilled chicken so saucified wiv rice is looking about right. Wish I had a bigger freezer flappy space cos I can only fit ~two packs of owt in there at once. Had to defrost the chicken the day before yesterday to fit some sillycheap pork mince in.

I haven't got a clue about the duck, it was cooked for me in a bar/bistro in Edinburgh, it was really tasty though, tender and juicy; I tend to think of duck as being dry and chewy but that's probably from the very few occasions I've had duck in a Chinese takeaway.

I've been eating pretzels and pistachios all night.

Duck should be very tender and juicy. Have only cooked it at home the once though. Was very tasty but didn't render the fat down properly so still a tad greasy. Chinese takeaway duck is a whole other thing. Tasty but nowt like homecooked.

Love a bit of risotto, keep meaning to make some myself but haven't as yet.

Just finished a Rustler's spicy chicken sub, a Branston pickle infused pork pie, and a wee bit of peppered goats cheese. I love parental visit day =D

Tesco's finest mushroom risotto:

Lots of pepper, very bloody tasty.

you should make your own risotto knock, very very easy, and can even impress...

Same goes for you snolly. Keep you away from Rustler products.

Homemade risotto is the tits. Even I can make it so y'all got no excuse :D

Just put that marinated chicken on. Was loads in the pack - much more than expected. "Chargrilled" 'em (or possibly burnt 'em slightly) and doused in a jar of Sharwood's bhuna sauce to cook through. Ya. Is but a humble jar sauce. Is bloody tasty though.

Also, the *ahem* chargrilling has somewhat irritated the back of me throat. Man "chargrilled" spices catch a tad 8o
