you should make your own risotto knock, very very easy, and can even impress...

Same goes for you snolly. Keep you away from Rustler products.

Hehe, I'll have a bash at it aye, got some risotto rice in the cupboard and various mushroom-y things too. Something I could actually cook for the woman as she's veggie, fed up of having her have to cook. She makes fucking awesome veggie curries though. Need to surround myself with more Asian women I think.

That said, it's gotta be a bacon, egg, and hash brown sarnie for breakfast =D

Went to post a picture of tonight's tea and found a photo of last nights on my camera :D

So Last night (Curry night again - cabbage and carrot, Daal and a Chicken with Pea dish)

Tonight was a Middle Eastern affair (Babba Ganoush[roast Aubergine salad], Salad and Roast Chicken)

Spaghetti with spicy tomato, garlic and lentil sauce. Added mushrooms, peppers and shredded kale to a pre-cooked n' frozen sauce. Worked out pretty good. Plentiful shaving of parmassan and sliced, peeled cucumber on the side.

Trying to eat less meat. It's fairly easy with a bit of thought and loads of garlic, herbs and spices! Man do you need loadsa flavour for veggie dishes...

Mr Bear your curry dishes are wonderful. Do you use recipes or make it up as you go along? :)

I like to serve my food at the table in help yourself dishes too.

Bit of both tbh - I cook a lot of curries and once you have the basic set of spices you can pretty much make it up as you go along. It really depends on how much time I have on my hands / how much I fancy messing about in the kitchen :D.

jacket tata with beans and cheese!

Am now craving a baked tatty with cheese 'n' beans :!

Not had one in ages now. Seems such a waste having the oven on for an hour or so just for a tater. Microwaved just ain't baked :\

Bear: Your dins look as lushy as ever. Am inviting meself to dinner if I'm ever passing Chez Love. (Don't worry, I rarely pass anywhere ;))

Had some of that "chargrilled" marinated chicken wiv bhuna sauce earlier. I may not be believed but was properly gorgeous. Was well impressed. Best jarsauce I've ever had is that Sharwood's bhuna one I reckon (I realise that's not saying that much... but ferra quid I ain't complaining) and the chicken was really bloody tasty and moisty too. Yum <3

I'm eating these. I got a free tin of them in the mail today. They're absolutely glorious. Roasted peanuts coated with coconut cream .... sounds absolutely rancid, but they actually go together perfectly

yum x 100 <3

fucking hell bearlove your food always sounds and looks fucking excellent.

and I love babba ganoush, Iranian friends in coventry used to make it for us for lunch sometimes...along with an excellent rice dish whose name I can't recall. There's a similar Turkish aubergine dish, i can't remember the name of it though, i remember the word for aubergine, but not for the salad they make with it.

^I first had the Aubergine dish in Turkey years ago - I never had it again until one of my trips to the Middle East where I found Babba Ganoush and the other Aubergine dish called Moutable (which is mashed up Aubergine with Tahini and Garlic).

The other dish that I fell in love with is Foul - which is cooked broadbeans blended with similar herbs (garlic, lemon, and either parsley or corriander). Looks like dog food, but tastes great with home made crisps. I'll make it tomorrow :D

Bear's foodpix always impress cos they manage to look like they belong on the pages of a cookery book whilst still looking properly homemade rather than plastic, posed and poncy. Not an easy thing to get both sides of the balance right. They also make you want to lick the screen.

Munching a lemon yoghurt for pud. One of those Muller no-fat ones. Very tasty too. Lemony. As one might expect.

Minted lamb hotpot "Big Soup" wiv a coupla lomticks of mature Cheddar & Jalapeno bread for the dunking of. Very warming on a chilly afternoon :)

Also, I happened to notice the ingredients list on the cheese/chili bread. One of which was "molluscs". Am sure it was just as colouring or summat but still somewhat surprised to find molluscs in bread. Do any of y'all veggies ever bother to check ingredients on bread and other stuff most (certainly me anyway) would never really think of as being anything other than veggie?
