Yes, as I said it will pre-load regardless of being hid in the NSFW link. This puts mobile phone users, those on limited monthly bandwidth plans or, in your case, having an ancient computer... at risk of incurring problems with the 250kb embedded links loading each time.

People browsing on mobiles generally cant view the NSFW content at all due to forum buggary anyway (the button doesnt open/work in mobile mode, or it didn't used to, unless they've fixed it recently), you had to switch to full site mode to be able to view/load the content under NSFW

Good point. There you go Shambles put the mobile skin on, it will make browsing easier for your lil 'pooter to handle. ;)
 
It ain't a "lil pooter'. It's a nobbled pooter. Don't ask cos although I could (sort of) explain nobody is gonna believe me anyway. The fact remains that it's no different to a non-NSFW'd vidembed so if we allow NSFW'd vidembeds we should allow non-NSFW'd vidembeds. Or not as the case may be. No consistency at the moment with Mz Marmz playing clever get-around cunt (in the nicest possible way <3). Whilst I admire the spirit of trying to find a sneaky workaround, it just ain't a workaround it's the exact same thing to all intents and purposes.

On Chrome. Completely froze up my computer, even after I closed the tab. I didn't wait for the page to load fully, it'd still probably be loading now.

I just tried and gave up before the first vid in the first post finished loading. No idea how far the rest of the page got cos it froze up and couldn't scroll. This is exactly what happens whenever there is more than one or two - max - vidembeds on any given page and makes no difference whether NSFW'd or not. Not sure how many times I have to say the same thing before it sinks in? 8)

I wouldn't be mentioning it if it weren't actually an annoyance. If there was a way to get around the recent no vidembeds rule I'd be a happy boy cos I could make use of it in good conscience too, but given it's a massive pain in the arse and it seems a coupla peeps hadn't realised the fact I thought it only fair to mention.

That's damn weird. My penis (processor) is considerably smaller than your's, yet I have no problem other than a 4 second wait for the page to fully load.

EVEN weirder: when using Chrome on my MOBILE PHONE (full site version) it took about 4-5 seconds to load completely, then I could freely scroll up and down the page. This is just a standard Xperia smart phone, nothing overly impressive.

I cannot fathom this one, particularly in the case of Albion. Maybe someone more nerd-inclined (Knock, ceres) could give a better explanation.
