Found this directory on some disk somewhere "Jega" and it's full of these subdirectories:

Code:
2000 - Geometry
1997 - Card Hore EP
1996 - Phlax EP
2009 - Variance
1999 - Spectrum
1999 - Jega & Capitol K - Untitled & Postcard 7
1999 - Jega & Kid Spatula - Unity Gain & Hard Love
1998 - Type Xer0 EP

Listened to some of it. It's pretty ace, if you like ambient electronica. Very BoC esque, not quite as excellent, but damn good all the same.

So I'm listening to Jega - Sakura from Variance Disk 1 and it's just finished.

But very nice. I'm sitting here scanning in documents and it's making the time go by very pleasantly indeed.

Jega is the recording name of Manchester-based electronic music artist Dylan Nathan.[1] Nathan has released records on the Planet Mu, Matador and Skam record labels.[1]

Nathan released his first EP in 1996 in Manchester on Autechre-affiliated Skam records,[1] original home of Boards of Canada. Nathan toured with Autechre in 1997.[citation needed] Nathan's first album, Spectrum, was the first release on Mike Paradinas/µ-Ziq's Planet Mu label.[1] Paradinas and Nathan studied architecture together in London 1991–94 on the same campus with Aphex Twin. Spectrum is a fusion of the breakbeat and IDM sound coming out of London at the time. Nathan's second album Geometry reflects his electronic roots, avoiding samples and venturing more into synthesis.[citation needed] Geometry was named by Thom Yorke as an influence on Radiohead's (2002) album 'Kid A'.[2] Both Spectrum and Geometry were later licensed to Matador Records for release in North America, resulting in extensive tours of the United States.[citation needed]

Aye OK you would say that wouldn't you.

edit: Really pretty fucking good though!

http://youtu.be/ZgYiQPuXMhE Mogwai - Burning
The Scottish band Mogwai performs an incandescent show in front of a stunned crowd. As if time stood still, the audience is transported along by musical waves, both poetic and violent. 'Burning' dives into this wild sensual flow. Directors Vincent Moon and Nathanaël Le Scouarnec guide us into a dream where there is no tomorrow. This is a black and white experience of the senses carved by the raw emotion of this pioneering band that doesn't need any words to touch the heart of its listeners. Layered and innovative, the movie has its finger firmly on their pulse, a sonic adventure between hope and rebellion. A lifetime of feelings in just one night.

You may have caught Scott Ian‘s ‘Speaking Words’ in Europe last summer, and if you’re in the U.S., you may be catching the Anthrax guitarist’s 2014 North American tour dates. However, if you won’t be seeing Ian tell his tale in person, you might be able to grab an official DVD release. For a bit of help to finance a DVD release, Ian has set up a crowd-funding campaign.

Crowd-funded projects are beginning to change the music industry as we know it, and for the next 57 days, Scott Ian’s Pledge Music campaign will be open for donations. No labels needed, the fans will pay for the DVD release themselves, of course getting some extra goodies for their contributions as well.

Scott Ian is offering some sweet incentives to thank fans for donating, from access to an HD stream of the Glasgow ‘Speaking Words’ for just $10 to an insane ‘Vegas Adventure + World Series of Poker’ experience for a fan wishing to cough up a cool $25,000. Of course, there are many other options in between these prices where fans can get signed merch, handwritten lyric sheets, guitars, amps, various personal Scott Ian experiences + more.

“I’ve always loved musicians like Jello Biafra and Henry Rollins, who have the balls to do spoken word performances,” says Ian. “It’s just them and the mic. There’s no band to make them look good or cover up their mistakes.”

He continues, “Anthrax fans have always been loyal and supportive and that has allowed me to act like a rock star for more than 30 years. So, I wanted to reach out first to my fans to help finance this one-of-a-kind DVD that reveals more about me, my sense of humor and my bizarre career than anything you’ve ever read or seen.”

Check out Scott Ian’s Pledge Music page to donate to the cause. To see Scott Ian’s full list of North American ‘Speaking Words’ dates, click here.

Metallica’s Kirk Hammett Rocks Fear FestEvil With Exodus and Death Angel

Kirk-Hammett.jpg

One of the perks of staging your own event is having the ability to drop in on your favorite bands during the festivities, and that’s exactly what Metallica‘s Kirk Hammett did at the inaugural Fear FestEvil horror and music event in San Francisco.

The first-year festival took place over the weekend with Hammett sitting in for performances with fellow Bay Area metal favorites Exodus and Death Angel. During the Friday night (Feb. 7) performance at the Regency Ballroom, Hammett re-joined his onetime band Exodus onstage. During the set, Hammett rocked out a version of ‘Piranha’ and a cover of Blue Oyster Cult‘s ‘Godzilla’ while the crowd went nuts. Hammett was an original member of Exodus before accepting the job to replace Dave Mustaine in Metallica in 1983.

The following night (Feb. 8), Hammett once again dropped in on the headliners, sharing the stage with Death Angel. During the performance, he sat in on covers of Black Sabbath‘s ‘Heaven and Hell’ as well as Metallica’s ‘Trapped Under Ice.’ Hammett has a history with Death Angel as well, as he produced their 1986 demo, ‘Kill As One.’

Footage from both performances can be seen below, courtesy of AndrewHaug.com. The inaugural Fear FestEvil also featured performances by Carcass and Orchid.

http://youtu.be/vzrkOG4iYEI Deicide - FATHER BAKER'S

There exists a place of agony
Where children are held captive
Belt across the back, the nuns attack
Believe in god or be beaten to death

Work to earn your keep, no time to sleep
You better know the bible verse
Or go without and die of thirst
Resent your birth, thanks to god

At Father Baker's the pain is divine
If you are lucky you'll get out alive

Welcome to terror, you're where you belong
Father is waiting to show you your wrong
Learn early on to behave or you'll die
Live with his torture, no one to confide
Innocence lost by the rage he inflicts
Repent to god or the pain will persist

Kept inside a cage, humiliate
Till Father takes confession
Whipped unmercifully and left to bleed
And by the end to be one with god

Fast you into place, the final phase
Before you meet his maker
Do as you are told or you will go
And then you'll know what is suffering

http://youtu.be/eej9Q1kWc1o DEICIDE - REPENT TO DIE

Pathetic lives, every second someone dies
Delightful is the sight of repention
No destiny, just a certainty of death
In pain inducing lies of salvation
Never repent

Born to be dead
Repent to die
Ignorance looms in the unconscious mind
Born to be dead
Repent to die
Waste your last breath on the lord Jesus Christ

Repent to die

Afraid of what lies after death
Your screams are unheard to Him
Resisting your wake of adorn
Your pleading falls deaf on your lord

"Go **** your god" will be my final words
To die is just the concept of living
To be Forgave, salvation blessed with pain
Endeavored is the blame of creation

Pathetic lives, every second someone dies
Delightful is the sight of repention
No destiny, just a certainty of death
In pain inducing lies of salvation
Never repent

http://youtu.be/MH0y5yhaRac Deicide - Refusal of Penance

Heard that I found Jesus, when I do he's dead
Endless speculation, why would I repent?
If I find salvation and the book of hymns
Their annihilation will not get me in

Expose god religion to my dying death
Cannot be forgiven by your holiness
Will I learn my lesson, bare their sympathy?
Answer to your question - that ain't happening

Bow before no god that cannot be seen
And wants to show mercy on people like me
Facing their judgment to settle the score
Refusal of penance, I laugh at your lord

Grace of god refusal, evil to the end
Instrument of Satan, I have always been
Challenge my conviction to the Baphomet
Smash his crucifixion right against your head

Contents under pressure explode, kill your ***
Total devastation in the aftermath
I behold no penance, only dignity
In hell with Lord Satan for eternity

Bow before no god that cannot be seen
And wants to show mercy on people like me
Facing their judgment to settle the score
Refusal of penance, I laugh at your lord

http://youtu.be/j9Slu1YU4x8 Deicide - Remnant Of A Hopeless Path

Where's your god when you need him?
Beware, he's deceiving
Intimidation, revelation
Wipe my ass on its pages
Fuck your god with good reason
In contempt, holy treason
I desecrate thee, it's amazing
Open wound, he forsakes you

Satan comin', angel shun 'em
Prophet's bludgeoned under his rule
Reach out to hymn, not there again
Free us from this, Satan live

You've been robbed of your spirit
Ain't god's love so endearing
Incrimination, contemplation
Hopeless path of damnation
End of days, you're afraid of
And you thought he forgave us
Infuriating, devastating
Cut your throat, Satan's waiting

Satan comin', angel shun 'em
Prophet's bludgeoned under his rule
Reach out to hymn, not there again
Free us from this, Satan live

Seattle Woman Charged for Tweeting Death Threats to Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell Read

[video]http://www.kirotv.com/videos/online/video-seattle-woman-charged-for-allegedly-tweeting/vCQRYL/[/video]

Scary news concerning Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell. According to a recent news report, a Seattle woman has been charged for allegedly tweeting death threats to the rock singer. The woman is said to have written over 100 messages to Cornell from a total of nine different Twitter accounts.
The news came out of Seattle news station KIRO 7 on Feb. 7, detailing the disturbing specifics of what Cornell allegedly went through. “A Seattle woman has been charged for allegedly tweeting death threats to Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell,” begins the news report. “Prosecutors claim Elizabeth Walden had nine different Twitter accounts and sent more than 100 messages to Cornell. They say the postings also alluded to a rape of his 13-year-old daughter. Prosecutors say those tweets constituted cyber-stalking and they filed criminal charges against her this week.”
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Cornell and his family have been bombarded with death threats. Cornell began receiving death threats in 2004 when his wife Vicky was pregnant with the singer’s second daughter. The threats reportedly came by mail and email, containing sentences about killing Cornell’s children and wife.
Soundgarden currently have international tour dates booked for 2014, although drummer Matt Cameron will sit out the gigs due to prior commitments with Pearl Jam.
