If I were rich enough I'd build a herd of windmills & keep a huge flock of solar panels at an appropriate site & hold giant music festivals thus promoting the idea of clean energy & having a fucking great time - imagine the LOUDEST sound system in the world powered by wind - tripping watching the blades whirling round - a winner of an idea IMO.

King Tubby - Dub Fever ..

Just starting to get well into Dub - any suggestions in a similar vein - which Lee Scratch Perry albums should I get? - saw him in concert this year - mind blowing!

these aren't the best recordings, but myspace is an arse now.

totally underrated band that my boyfs old band played with a lot. doctor nut- elves and wizards

ladders in the maze is also good.
'i am here, why am i here, i can't find any ladders in the maze,' in my head this is genius.

and master of all trades.

surreal but awesome, and very fun pop punk.

I like that, but i like the Sparklehorse/Flaming Lips cover of Go, much much more [yummm @ the strings!], from the official covers album he released. Beck's version of True Love Will Find You is decent too, same for the Mercury Rev one

Go - original version

Spiritualized's version of True Love Will Find You In The End

he's a bit of a sore subject for me atm.
had tickets to see him @ manchester cathedral about a month ago. can't think of a better venue to see him play than in a cathedral really, a sit down gig I wouldnt of actually minded. but they changed the location last minute to a place that looked completely soulless, and I wasnt feeling up to travelling at the time, and that kinda made the difficult decision not to go, for me.

shame, but I'll catch up with him sooner or later
