damn joo, brimz! it's hard enough to drag myself kicking and screaming out of the early 90's as is
[edit] now I'm raking through my [mp3] singles box

lemonheads - Ever
fave lemonheads track from back then. top indie track on par with freakscene, etc

My favourite ever gig(s) were the My Bloody Valentine reunion shows. I went to both the Manchester ones. My hearing was fucked for a week. :)

I don't usually like reunions, but this was My Bloody Valentine so I had to.

Anyway, this is the highlight of one of the nights. If you manage to make out a mad bastard dancing to the feedback right in front of the PA, then that's me.

My Bloody Valentine - You Made Me Realise (Live, Manchester 2008 )

Just beautiful.

like that song a lot so i'm giving it a watch. but holy jebus, it's 30 mins!

[edit]
PAVEMENT by crickey! ... PAVEMENT!!

the band who played on my first night in leeds (at the well, i'm really not going to drop this!)

paint it black- memorial day

supported by the awesome cutting class (named after a paint it black song) and burn alaska.

I bet you never though you'd see me scratching at air like an amputee.
So what's left? I've got a head like a trainwreck.
Who's keeping count of the casualties?
Fatigue thrusts its jackhammer fists into my eyes,
but I'm afraid to lie down. Afraid to slow down.
Afraid to go home. (It's gonna catch up to me...)
I'm tied in knots because of what I'm not and I can't share what I haven't got.
So here's to the skinned knees and sutured hearts.
Here's to the unhappy endings and all the false starts

Never saw MBV, wish I had, I too am jealous Sam.

I did see E.A.R though (Experimental Audio Research), I think that was one of MBV, one of Spacemen 3, and someone else too, can't remember, fucking great "band" they were, better than MBV in my opinion..but I am a fan of knob twiddlers %)

I'd put up a youtube link for their track DMT Symphony, but it looks like it's been removed.

EDIT>>>>>>>E.A.R DMT Symphony is on Spotify, afraid you need an account to play it, I'm guessing the link works, but I haven't got a spotify account

Mention of the Melvins reminds me of a much loved BLer Whore' <3

The Jam - Monday

We went to see Echo & the Bunnymen last night in Wedgie and McCulloch was an absolute dickhead (aye I know he always was but he's a 50+ year old man now not 14 - it was an embarrassment), got fucked out his head and was very abusive to the audience, he left the stage before finishing the set -made an absolute cunt of it. So disappointed :\....and it cost a fortune, concert hall, strings n' all. Prick.

I haven't got an account either, but that sounds like a good line-up. :)

To add to the jealousy factor, I saw the Scream with Kevin Shields on guitar too. He was practically motionless throughout but the sound he made was just pure evil. In my smacked-up state it was all the better.
