What Are You Drinking? V2. Frosty Jacks - For The Discerning Pisshead

Had me some fresh red wine. Surely not for the finer palates of others, but I enjoy the fizzyness and fruityness of it.

I'm such a rock God! In a giant mug I've got sleepytime tea and chamomile with a dash of sugar. Got docs appointment at 2 but been up all night in agony. Tis better to relax than get myself jacked up on caffeine. That happens at 1 ;)

You need to get that sleep issue and pain level acknowledged by your doc. Don't let them ignore you. You work hard and have a busy life, it's going to burn you out and I'd hate to see you get really ill again.

Now that's not meant as patronising, just care missus.

Still on the tea here!

vodka, cointreau, cranberry juice, lime topped with sprite :)

Sounds delish though I'm not fond of vodka or cointreau ( unless its in a satsuma trifle :D) but that sounds refreshing with the lime.

I'm indulging in Asda's diet mango crush. It's so good, slight hint of coconut in it. Calorie and caffeine free. I've a load of lemons in, might slice some in the next glass.

If you have a load of lemons make some lemon juice ice cubes add a mint leaf if your feeling fancy :). If your feeling frugal - zest them first and freeze that also :D

The drink I had is a bit of a 90's throwback cocktail the "cosmopolitan" I find that one measure vodka, half measure of cointreau (I use a shot glass as a measure for these) with lime and cranberry really refreshing as its fruity but a bit sour- add in the sprite for sweetness and it's a pretty nice drink.

Have you tried the mango crush with a cheap fizzy white wine ? That would work really well you could even muddle with some basil first.

That's a great idea thanks. I always have lots of lemons in, mostly for cooking and to slice in drinks. I like the idea of mint. I have a huge pot of apple mint growing in the garden. %)

Lol, the idea of the mango etc is to drink less alcohol. But I'll add that to my must do list. A cava would go well with it.

It also keeps me off the diet coke :sus: That stuff apparently can clean toilets 8o

You have such good taste Bear <3

has anyone ever attempted a CWE-cocktail? perhaps something like a Woo-Woo, Corpse Reviver (No. 2) or a Manhattan where instead of alcohol there's drugs?

and before you say, purple drank doesn;t count.

Sounds interesting. You tried it?

Not sure I could stomach it. I need to down the stuff quick with concentrated squash, then wash that down with a bitter tonic water. I often regurgitate it back up and have to swallow again, yep disgusting dedication 8(

CWE is vile :D

no i haven't tried it but yeah i use squash with my CWE too, which is still pretty rank and i was wondering if there's a cocktail recipe that wouldn;t just mask the vile flavor of a basic CWE, but actually could make it rather quaff-able? :)

That took you 14 minutes Bear.

I have this.

Premium wild berry and vodka. Like the wild berry comes first, yeah, right.

It's gorgeous Bear. But I like wild berries. And vodka.

I'm fond of chardonnay, as long as it isn't too sweet. I like dry.

The Margaret River sounds lovely, especially the "lively lemon freshness" as described by Markies. They have 6 bottles for £78 is that a good deal where you are?

Drinking tea. Nambari.
$15 - 20 will get you a nice Margaret River chardonnay. They are dry, usually not to oaky these days. Its a great wine region. Make fantastic Cabernet there too.

I just read the description of that wine Kate. Larry cherrinebo is an awesome winemaker. I would be all over that wine. It sounds the goods.

For £13 a bottle its a good price in Markies. I'll trying it. Thanks for the idea!

Do you have Marks & Spencers in Australia. It's my favourite food & drink shop.

Used to drink "Codeine Slammers" all the time. Half a pint of codeine linctus mixed with half a pint of vodka with a tablespoon of Andrew's Liver Salts stirred in for effervescence and to turn what could be a horrendously bad idea into a paragon of HR Goodness. To this day I have no doubt whatsoever that that spoonful of Andrew's made all the difference and totally counterbalanced the pint of narcoholic badness slammed and downed in one 8)

Misspent yoof? Me? Shurely shome mishtake, shonny :o

Currently drinking the eminently more reasonable ...

Been sampling loads of Scottish beers recently. And got plenty more to get around to sampling - some really good brews around these parts :)

I like a fizzy short after downing a CWE.

You should try Brew Dog and the Arran Brewery selection. You can visit the brewery in Arran and for a look around you get to try the different brews. It's tiny but the Blonde is excellent.

Arran is a must visit. I do a lot of work there and love that island. I want to take you. You'd like the distillery and cheese place.
