That. Precisely that (3 ferra fiver - just started on the second). Is tasty stuff too. I like Old Speckled Hen anyway but am liking this more. Laaaaaaarvely drop so it is <3

nice beer there Mr Shambles, bit stronger than normal beers too.

Is a nice one huh, Bogman? I've seen it around a couple times but not really tried it properly before. 6.5% is just about right for a "drinking for taste and minor squiffiness" beer, I'd say. Enough for fun but not enough to get you too far down the line where it gets difficult to stop opening another.

^ hey you're the guy that taught me baggage over boozage

I didn't teach you anything, Raas. Not specifically anyway. In many ways I would choose bagz over booze. If it weren't for the fact that the former option is such a massive arseache. The latter is far worse (imo, ime, ymmv, etc, etc) if you're talking about a full-on dependence/addiction but I've never had a problem with "social" drinking. Drunkenness and alcoholism are not a pretty sight. Getting a bit squiffy is getting a bit squiffy. Is a real shame that poppy products are so far down at the "all or nothing" end of the spectrum but they are and that's just the way it is, unfortunately :(

Cranberry juice, a litre a day. Because I read on a site that people without a colon should add it to their diet. Can't find anything to say why though.

Wasn't cranberry juice being hailed as one of them thar "Superfoods" not long back? Not that such things exist but I'm sure it's not a bad thing to be drinking. Am rather partial to it myself, actually. Despite currently possessing a colon. I tend to be deeply suspicious of such claims cos they do tend to be kinda faddy and swiftly forgotten and/or shown to be nowt special one way or t'other or (if you read certain tabloids) gives you cancer. Makes a nice mixer for voddy amongst other things. Would drink it more but it ain't half pricey compared to "lesser" juices 8o

Busting my arse to head over to the offy fro some pre match beers but my bowels have been playing up lately. I'm not usually one to shy away because of a slight health issue but this puts me out of action for a day or two.

Served at "top of the radiator" temperature and absolutely frikkin lush. Wish I'd bought some before. Never bothered before cos is nearly a tenner a bottle but lawdy is it tasty 8o

(and currently half-price at co-op)

Tastes pretty much exactly like somebody melted a bar of decent milk chocolate into a bottle of decent red wine. And is much nicer than that sounds if that doesn't sound nice enough as it is. Win <3

^ Really? I bought that same wine from co-op and hated it. Couldn't finish the bottle, which is exceptional for me. It was rancid. I realised that mixing chocolate with wine... is like, let's say, putting butter in your coffee... it sounds like a nice workable idea, but in reality just doesn't work at all.

Drank it at room temperature, mind. Maybe that's the difference.
