I dont like cricket but I like it when england win, can I join in on these fun filled activitys?
 
Andrew Strauss sent the Australian dressing room a dozen bottles of red wine to help them drown their sorrows.
The Aussies sent it all back because they couldnt find a decent opener

I love the psychology of the English. Hundreds of posts when we think we're going to lose then sweet FA when it's time to gloat.

PLUS...are there any other supporters who, with the score still at 0-0 (halfway through Adelaide) would start wishing for some more fight from an opposition that has spent the best part of 25 years slaughtering us? LOL indeed.

A thread about England v Bangladesh would have prompted more replies than the last few weeks of this thread.

So terribly modest. So terribly English.

So true about the Man U fukwits . I support West Ham so when victory is acomplished in my fav. sports it REALLY MEANS SOMETHING.

It would be boring if u just turned up n expected 2 win wheres the fun in that ?
 
So the World Cup has started , i know it is a long drawn out competition that doesn't really get going untill the q/finals . Still it's in The Sub Continent and there are loads of potential Fairytale endings.
Tendulkar, Murali,Ponting n Kallis all playing their last WC.
I would like 2 see Sri Lanka do well , n i think they will .
Not really that big on England in the one day game , would be very surprised if we got beyond Qf.
 
Don't go a lot on the ODI stuff Brimz but fuck me that was a great game yesterday. Kudos to Strauss for being human and showing the pain of being let down in his interview. Brilliant innings he played. Takes something to outshine a Tendulkar century in India.
 
Honestly thought we were fked but like u said Strauss played a once in a lifetime inninigs n outshined Sachin , great entertainment.
I'm more in2 the longer form of the game but still enjoy onedayers when they are close.

just watched the last half hour of the game and it was brillant.
 
Kevin O'Brien was absolutely sick. Brilliant stuff. I've liked the Irish team for a while, it's great to see them lifting their game.

England will still qualify, though. Unless Bangladesh get some big results, or Ireland beat another of the top teams.

England in the field were just rubbish. However, all credit to Ireland for sorting themselves out after a shaky start and getting the job done in some style.
