Even the umpires are against us.

KP is winding the Saffa fuckers up. :)

He only had it briefly before becoming engulfed in adverts and stardom. Went to his head a bit methinks, I'm sure there are far better county players out there to fill his shoes with much smaller heads.

I'm tempted to disagree really, I think he's been one of the best bats on the squad up until very recently.

Would that read 7/2 in old fashioned bookiespeak ?

5/2.

But I'd want more than that.

I've bet on SA to win, at shite odds of 1.41.

All relative innit. That's winning odds of 40%. If you had a stock that was going to make you 40% profit in 24 hours you'd think you were the man, or the kid, or something.

No, because the way betfair quotes it includes your stake back. So it's really 2.5 to 1, or 5/2 in old speak (although i saw on the news yesterday that fractions are being phased out to encourage people to lose more money).

Too true.

Draw is now 4.2 on Betfair, which i think is probably still too short. Having said that, Cardiff and Durban were both good examples of England fighting for a draw, and this track seems quite batsmen (KP excluded) friendly. I may have a look at the stats.

Is KP the new Bell?

Stats on Cardiff and Durban show we were in slightly better positions at the end of day 4.

In Cardiff after 4 days we were 20/2 after 7 overs, and we survived another 98 overs
In Durban after 4 days we were 11/1 after 6 overs, and we survived another 90 overs.

Min of 90 overs to go tomorrow. It's defo not impossible, which is why the draw odds are so short when on the face of it i think it looks a very tricky task.

Put the rose-tinted optimism down and walk way. :)

He's the new Ian Bell.

Yes. In a way at least. In that you know you can't count on him.

Fuck it, I've always said he's dodgy. If you look at nearly all his big innings he could have been out once or more than once early on. He rarely gives a chanceless hundred. He's had a load of luck. Not denying his talent. But he's had luck. And its run out.

Of course it also doesn't help if you're so arrogant you walk down the wicket and play one-handed to your second ball (1st innings) or so stupid you walk down to a rejuvenated Steyn bowling full at 91mph (2nd innings). Twat. Talent or not.

It would be fucking lovely though! :) And the Aussies just did the impossible!

+1

Watching the final day of the test tomorrow will be like watching a pet being put down. I don't see the point, I know it's going to happen, and I'm not happy about it, but it's just the way it is.

Australia beating a pathetic Pakistan is the best thing that could happen to England (well apart from the leather suddenly peeling of the seam ;) ). There were plenty of players playing for their futures who will no doubt be trudging about come next summer. I can only hope that NZ do the impossible and catch them while they still celebrate.

Cracking series in South Africa at the moment, pity it is only 4 Tests, what's the go with that? Another sign of how 20/20 is ruining the great game :(
