We Love Cricket Thread 2nd Innings

Then Finn and Tremlett will do the job. Swann for Adelaide.
I'm more concerned with the batting.
Jackson Bird will cause us some problems I fancy and Rhino Harris when fit is great, but he is bound to break down again at some point, shame as he is a class act. Pattinson has wrecked his back which is handy also.

Is pat Cummins going to be fit ? I think that kid can bowl.

But for sure it'll be a tough series and isn't it weird to think in a few months we could lose them. Doesn't seem right, at least give us 9-10 months with them. Or maybe they should have merged the series with a winner takes all. So a two legged Ashes ?

3-6 to England say !

Silicon tape or not, how hard would it be to paint the edges of all bats with a varnish that is heat sensitive so that hotspot is in deed actually accurate? Any decent batsmen worth his wage doesn't rely on the edges so I don't see why the third umpire couldn't supervise this before each batsmen walks to the crease.

Technologically sound, and if that's so, then bring it to the aid of the third umpire, along with any other ways of ascertaining a certain sound or movement, and all this hotspot nonsense would be sorted

The sound is always going to be an issue because the sound of bat hitting pads has always been very similar to ball feathering the bat. Hell you could dust the edges in tennis line chalk and see if the ball touched it so it can't be that hard to give hotspot a help hand.

So whats the whether looking like? Am I wasting my time staying up late to watch the covers collect puddles?

Well it's raining in leicester now. But Leicester isn't Durham, and now isn't 11am BST

The forecast looks pretty good for Chester-Le-Street once these early showers shift!

I used to live in Leicester mrscientist. First night ever on pills was at Goodbye cruel world after I had just lost my rugby contract. I saw a hot Snow White girl with 7 fucking midgets and a fire breathing transvestite. That kind of eased the pain.

OTW, my good man, if there's ever the near perfect way to soften a crushing blow, you have just described it almost immaculately

Where abouts in this er, lovely city did you live?

Good toss to win
Can't really see Australia being too up for these last 2 games. Already just treating them as auditions for the Winter series

Should of given Onions a go i rekon being his home ground n all . Hopefully they will let Tremlett bowl @ the Oval that being his home ground .
Got to to give the squad players a run out know the URN is all safe n ting

5 down does not look too good atm. Bairstow or Prior need a ton - or 85 - will do.
:)
350 looks a par score I think.

Glad to see someone on my wavelength brimz, the little terracotta one is going nowhere, I say get Tremlett ready for those Aussie pitches, by bowling at the oval. He'll be vital in the winter.

Very underrated imo

Oh. And if there were ever a time for JM Bairstow to truly prove his worth as a test quality batsman .... Well this is it
