a pocketful of people were violent, out of 5000 that was pretty good. unless you were there, or have information that no media outlet has reported, I really see your opinion as just that.
 
Anyone who was standing behind either supporting or inciting the violence shall also be identified and prosecuted according to the Police, as they were also breaking the law.

I am amazed that some people hold so much hatred towards Middle Easterners in Australia and defned the what happened on Sunday, yet they say there shouldn't have been attempt to dispose a Middle Eastern murderous dictator.

Sounds like these sort of people just want to inflict pain on Middle Easterns people in their homeland and in Australia.

I speak as an Australian who has lived in the Shire for a large amount of time, as opposed to most of you making comments for the ethnic groups that haven't even been there once.

Australia was not on the side of that mob. I think you'll find most Australians [find] their actions repulsive.

Interesting side-note: Sky News current poll (through digital television advanced features) currently shows 57% of Australians thinking the mob actions has scarred Australia's image.

i think this thread sums up one point that has been widespread for years...

"the only people who can be classified as racists are middle-class white men"

whites who get stomped by an 'ethnic' crew = mini paragraph in crime stoppers
people of 'ethnic' origin who get stomped by an aussie crew = hate crime and front page news

i use the term ethnic loosely, since in the end, we're all australian despite many of our attempts to try and distinguish ourselves from the typical 'white' norm. however, is this the work of a 'multicultural' society? i'm afraid not.

* if i'm catching a late night train home, do you think i'm looking over my shoulder for a gang of white people? nope.
* seeing someone being beat up at the bus station by a group of whites? nope.

mass generalisation? call it that if you wish. and as expected i'll pull the race card where i 'have friends of alllllll cultures' (i'm the only anglo-saxon person in my department at work and was the only anglo-saxon person at my tafe, i never had ANY issues whatsoever).

when is the last time you have ever walked through a 'white' neighbourhood? you DON'T, they don't EXIST. because the majority of us are able to assimilate into society and live amongst our neighbours. now.........when is the last time you've ever gone to dandenong, cabramatta, springvale, footscray, redfern, need i continue?

multiculturalism does not exist, and for once, it's not OUR fault.

unfortunately, what i see here is a lot of people simply berating the 'mob' without looking at the underlying problem which has driven them to this point in the first place. in no way am i justifying the actions of the mob that decided to vent their aggression on those who have not wronged them. however, a situation like this does not happen over night.

I'm sorry what negative attributes did I assign "white people"? You definetly weren't saying anything like "in order to strive towards a multicultural society we must treat all as equals". You were saying White's are unfairly blamed for things and we should feel sorry for you. I only inferred that this stinks of BS.
