VIC - Rainbow Serpent Festival Australia Day Weekend Jan 23 - 26

wow killarava2day, just read your journal, very intense and i'm sorry that you had to cop that on a head full of drugs, but maybe something good will come out of this.... it's seems that despite the negativity involved it has already been somewhat of a strong growth experience for you.

Killa, I was camped across the road from that guy. I saw the cop and paramedics arrive and immediately thought it was a G overdose. Later, after speaking the the 1st aid people, I found out what really happened.

A big thumbs up to the 1st aid people who must have seen some fairly messed up people, and an equally big thumbs up to the guy who looked after the toilets (they were so clean and smelt like roses).

I had a ball, great people and great music. I know is a Psy-Trance festival and all, but it's great to hear other styles too. Rainbow is such an amazing place. I just hope it stays that way.

Did anyone see the mountain in the distance on Sunday? It had a cloud over it all day, very mystical.

Introduction to doof culture

Well what can I say, the whole of RSF was absolutely incredibly divinely sublime.

For KillRava2dayI heard about the event with the scissors but I am glad to hear that you were involved, I would see it as a very powerful event resolving some serious energy and I personally would love it as much as possible for the learning expierence shared by everyone there. The great spirit is sending you signals. In the same breath it would have also been good if nothing needed to happen.

RSF to me was an accelerated, harminous and easy period of spiritual development. Thank you to all the wonderful people who contributed.

The only word I have to say is *amazing*... There honestly wasn't a single moment of Rainbow Serpent that I didn't enjoy 100%. Actually, maybe there is one... KillaRava I was also standing right near the scissors incident, and that was something no-one should have had to have seen at the event. I hope that the experience brings more good than bad in the long run for you and your friends, and for all the other people which witnessed the event. However, the little aliens near the healing area, the fairy hippy handing out affirmation cards, the tent group next to ours which had a formal dinner (evening wear, high heals, make-up, jewellery), and the overall positive energy radiating from everyone definately helped to erase the scene from my mind, at least for the duration of the festival. This was my 2nd Rainbow, and I cannot wait for the next, I'm already counting down the hours...!

That was the most beautiful, wonderful, gorgeous and magical event i have ever been to. I never ran out of things to do. The food stalls were delicious. The music was top notch. The vibe was intensly amazing. Everything i ever heard about rainbow serphant was true. I'm going every year :)

Ahh Rainbow … wot an event … wot an experience!!!!!

The best ever, sensational, warm and loving, awesome music, cheeky music, fat music, beautiful camping, yummy food, yummy healing area. All that and more.

Each year I give a theme to my Rainbow. This year theme was Goldilocks. Not too hot, not too cold. Not too hard, not too soft. IT WAS JUST RIGHT.

I have been fortunate enough to have gone to every Rainbow and from my clear-headed (chemical-free) state (this was a first for Rainbow) this was the best one yet. The music, village, games, beauty pageant (although the result did seem a little contrived), healing area, weather and people were all fantastic.

Big highlight was dancing on Monday to some awesome tunes and the CFA hosing down the dust on the floor, turning it into a madcap mud pit. Got incredibly dirty and had an incredibly good time.

Rainbow is not an event that you do … Rainbow does you. It did us bloody well this year, and we have now joined the queue for next year’s tickets.

well, i said i'd be here this year, but then they pulled out armin on me, and i really couldn't miss him. assuming they don't do that again though, i'm definitely gonna be @ rsf 2005 =D

Did anyone else see the rainbow around the sun?
 
The rainbow around the sun was amazing- on both Saturday and Monday. It was there last year too.

When we got back yesterday, after being away for 5 days, there were no messages on the answering machine - cos all our friends were at Rainbow too. Seriously couldn't walk more than 50 metres without bumping into someone we knew!!! How many rainbows will it take to know everyone there?

Can't believe you missed doofqueen Hardicus. I spotted her from 200 paces with that hair. I reckon you could see it from space!
Anyways, what a farkin good time. Nice to briefly catch up with soma and rbb...good to see you again chaps. Strung a couple of sentences together with dq and Taliana. Lovely to meet you two. Will talk more soon.....you gotta love the glow you get for a few weeks after a party as satisfying as that.

hahaha yeah i wasn't really hard to miss. Everyone who came and talked to me said they saw me from a mile away LOL

and i saw the rainbow too....so so magical and pretty =D
 
top weekend all round. nice vibe, especially during the day. cricket at the pool party was unreal :) sunset on the hill saturday night was better. philk's on sunday morning after a big bowl of froot loops was also pretty super. :D:D

nice to catch up with the esteemed mr.gumnut & soma. but i somehow managed to not see any other bl'ers all weekend! HARDI!! WHERE WERE YOU M0F0?!!?

Lousy sleep and long perilous journies from the campsite to the dancefloor!
 
Just a quick question for anyone that may be able to help me out. I know that there is a website with listings of all the bush doofs, but I can't remember what the site is...
 
yeah fully RBB i totally missed you. where were you hiding? i did however bump into chloe at one point! (i was camped down early bird so maybe thats why???) ahh ive posted long ass reviews everywhere else i cbf typing it again, but yeah. truly awesome weekend :):)
