Hey Guys,
KinetiK Kid here...Heath to my friends...

I need to qualify the Market Stage is not a KinetiK/Beatsworking stage and at no point has it been billed or advertised as that.

The Market Stage is not presented by any one crew and consists of multiple crews including Beatsworking, Lex & Ruxpin, Toupee & Glitch (Meccanoid), Phil K, Princess Trash (Secret Fun Society), TD Shagga (Wobble), Boydex Vs Hell Kitte, Miss Renei, Inner Realm, Shy FX and KinetiK that being myself, Shane and Aaron Smiles (perhaps melb's finest Psy trance DJ).

There is nothing the slightest bit candy going on.

Festivals are about open mindedness, unity, positivity and unconditional love and respect for eachother...thats why they attract a (for want of a better word) "hippy" crew and nature lovers...bottom line. To assume what the stage will be like in advance is closed mindedness and not very "hippy" at all.

Frank & Felix have gone to great effort with the Market Stage to offer a great spectrum of sounds from electro, to D&B, to breaks, to dirty prog, psy trance/beats, searing tek-disko, crazy party jams and indefinable experimental outdoor sounds FOR THE OPEN MINDED. Most international festivals of this scale embrace the same philosophy of diversity.

ALL involved in the organisation of the party have welcomed the variety the stage will offer and i'm sure anyone who approaches the market stage with an open mind will be very impressed.

I hope to see you all there.

Drive safely, Play Safely and look after your mates

All the best
Heath ;)

Well I made it back from my first RSF, and wow what an experience.

I arrived on sat night and had to park way in the last row of the first paddock area, seriously 20 min walk back the market area and main stage. Luckily I knew people that had been there since Thursday morning and had set up a sensational base camp behind the massage tent area 100 or so m to the main stage, so basically crashed there when I had too.

Pros:

* the music and decorations at night time were amazing, enhanced the whole experience of the festival
* the friendly atmosphere of the people.
* toilets thumbs up to the cleaners who cleaned the toilets every couple of hours, much better than some toilet facilities at other events I have been too.
* the people that came around on the main dance floor around 9 am on sunday morning with tooth brushes and toothe paste, just what the doctor ordered after stomping through out the night..
* the other shows such as fire show etc

Cons:

* the dust - not much you could do about it but dust mask a real good investment next time.
* water refills running out near main stage on sunday morning.

All in all the pros definetly out weighted the cons, for my first RSF, it definetly exceeded my expectations, so see you all next year.

=D

What a great weekend! I was a tiny bit nervous about how the market stage would be setup but it sure didn't disappoint... So many different styles of music really made for a great few days.

The main stage, as usual was unbelievable. The lazer show has to be the best lazer show ever. Each year, I watch the lazers in amazement and after seeing them for the 4th time it hasn't yet disappointed me.
One small comment.. why were the speakers have the size of last year? One of the most stand out moments of last year was when they turned the bass up to the max and the ground was shaking.. i was really hoping for a repeat performance.. did it cost too much money to have that many speakers?

The morning sets were unbelievable.. starting with Alien Project, then Sun control species and then d-tox wow... unbelievable. Will be there again next year!

taken from another forum :) Oh yeh and big hello and hugs to taliana and doofqueen (the crazy fairy ;))

Positives: Pretty much everything, the people, the decor, the hugness of everything there, the food, the markets, THE VIBE, the smiles, the healing tent and the beautiful people there throughout the day, the music, the preformances, the twirling, the accupuncture i got done, the vibrations, the opening ceromony, every single stage, our beautiful campsite, the fact i could be straight and feel so high, the games and the rest of the madness that was

musical highlights:
Sun control species- the system just started sounding it's best and he ripped out the maddest freaking set!
pixel- Awsome buildups, extremely fat, crowd was at it's best, with everyone smiling and going nuts/
sugar- great opening to the main stage with the crowd going wild, such a great energy on the floor.
phil k- amazing progression throughout his set
mantrix- some awsome new sounds in there
ozzy- just got out of bed and your set fot my energy going again
F-self- fuck yeah! some of the craziest experimental psy! farkin loved it!

heaps more as well, basically the main floor from suncontrol onwards, haha such a good vibe and such good morning party music

negatives: to be honest i can't really think of any, i'm so happy at rainbow i'm pretty much 'love invincible'... i only met great people and nothing could really bring me down anyway. When my energy was a little bit off i just went to the healing village and left feeling better than i have in my entire life.

I love rainbow, it is a little village where i can totally let loose and watch everyone around me let loose too.

For people who don't like the crowd, i find all you have to do is go in there with a good energy and dance and smile and watch the effect it has on the people around you. Everyone who is skat is just an inch away from letting loose and smiling, you just have to bring it out in them it can be a mish i know but just stay positive and watch the effect it has wherever you go and what comes to you as a result

peace, mick
