Upper vs. Downer People

I deffinately went through an upper stage. I was constantly doing coke for about 2 years everyday. That stage has since ended and I've been a downer guy ever since. Oxy's just seem to be the right feeling for me even though my first go around with them ended in me being dependant. I've kicked it now but still would love to feel that feeling.

Oh and I'm a firm beleiver that weed is essential ;)

Done coke several times & hated it. Done legal speed for a while but the upper thing is okay for a while & sex was great on it but being on uppers constantly gets old.

The downer thing is much more sustainable over the long haul imo.

im definatley an upper person. ive tried the china white once, and i threw up for about 4 hrs. not to mention i had itchy scratchy nose trips along with it. ive tried other downs but for some reason they never agreed with me. i just couldnt handle the trip. i know theres alot of different downs out there, but after the trip with the china white, i just stay away from them. i like to be up, always have. im a proud member and cardholder of the international ice nation..............8o8o

bluelight is being really slow right now, and we both deleted one of your double posts, so I restored this one, and then deleted the one after that was a lot shorter.

Uppers all the way.. I prefer opiates but don't consider them a "downer" , Benzo's and Barbituates and shit like Soma are what I consider to be "downers"..Opiates are really a class of their own and while they don't give you a speedy feeling, they have a euphoria all their own, which IMO Benzo's lack, and Barbituates are rarely prescribed these days, the good ones like Seconal, and Tuinals which had a kinda more euphoria than the Benzo's do..I think about prescription pills when the terms "uppers" and "downers" are used, cocaine is a stimulant but is in it's own class , amphetamines like Dexedrine and Adderall are "uppers" IMO as is crystal meth, but I think of non prescription stimulants like meth to be in a different class as well...I like taking Dexedrine, but I'm not big on crystal meth anymore, and I am not a big coke user anymore either..I have been prescribed Benzo's of one type or another for about 6-7 years and they don't really do it for me except to help me sleep,,opiates like I said are a whole different class of drugs IMO than being just "downers" ..thats my opinion anyway..Opiates are #1 and Dexedrine is #2 in my book.

I am a downer person. When I do uppers, I just want it to be over with. I have done coke a few times, and usually ended up not liking it, and taking benzos to bring me down. I like amphetamines for studying, but hate lying in bed trying to fall asleep, just waiting for it to be over.

I prefer downers, particularly opiates. I find them a bit stimulating for the first couple of hours, and then I get the nod later on.

I guess that having anxiety problems makes me partial to downers.

I consider myself a polydrug abuser but when I was younger (like 15-17 in high school) I LOVED uppers, particularly Adderall/D-amp. I still took anything and everything I could at that time, but I still preferred uppers (if given the choice).

Nowadays I'd much rather get liquored up, but I will still take anything given the chance. :P

Downers are for fucking around. Uppers are for doing shit, and/or fucking around, I prefer uppers. Downers have their place, but not for me.

Upper people are just going through a phase imo. That's an oversimplification of what I want to say, and maybe I'm just projecting, but an upper habit is just not sustainable from a basic biological standpoint. I mean, you can do uppers once in a while and call that a habit and be fine, or take two 20's of adderall a day, but you just can't do uppers like you can do downers. My mind works too fast anyways, which I think is a problem many hardcore downer people might have, so accelerating for too long leads to a terrible strain on my nervous system.

Ive never liked uppers, I went though the coke phase, it was eh, only did it cause all my friends did at the time so it was free. Did addys a couple times, never enjoyed them either. Loved bars like a motherfucker I always had 3-4 of them in m system, and then my friend hits me up about something called a "roxi" i was like hook me up, blew the whole 30 and never looked back, next day I bought 2 and so on. I love my downers, they chill me and make everthing seem easier to deal with. Uppers always gave me horrible anxitey anyway ://

I can't completely agree with that, Ive known people whom have used speed for 30+ years and still do. They hardly fuction and look like death but their still breathing I assure you haha. Eh nasty drug meth is.

^Okay, sure there are some really messed up people who are about to die just to prove me wrong ("speed forever!"), but I know meth people and for sure they are really truly just downer people waiting to crash. Example: they always take xanax when it's all said and done, just to ease the anxiety. Or they are taking painkillers for meth-related body pains. Soon, they come to the conclusion that life is generally one big headache, and speed just intensifies it for the most part. And they're stuck with downers after that.

I have to have both in low doses to balance out side effects. Opiates put me in the most blissful state of love and peace, but the drowsiness on the comedown is brutal. Stims like propylhexedrine and mephedrone (the only ones I've tried) are great for energy and focus but get a bit too tweaky without an opiate at the end of the day.

I'd say I'm a 50% opiate and 50% stimulant fan. Can't choose just one!

I'm an upper kinda person :)
Although alcohol is one of my favourite drugs, though that gives me nice stimulant effects haha.

True point, checkmate sir :)

Almost. Downers are a tool in that case but the DoC remains speed. My DoC is speed since I could sleep my day away, but I would prefer to stay up for more of it. I enjoy opiates and would prefer them if I had more of them, but I don't so speed it remains.

^^^^^^

100% correct imo! I use to like uppers when I was young but it gets old quick & you just cant sustain a long habit like you can with downers, at least thats what I think.
